"Ayaw mo talagang sumabay sa'min?"

Pagtapos ng klase, Claire wants me to join lunch together with her boyfriend. We have three hours vacant period bago ang sunod naming klase. The thing is, it's Claire and Kian's anniversary. Ayokong sumawsaw sa date nila kahit pa sanay na silang dalawa na lagi akong kasama.

"Hindi na. Kasabay ko ngayon si Laius."

Napanguso siya bago tumango.

The hallway of our building is crowded with various students from different department as of the moment. Some boys are crowding the hallways, talking about their plans after classes while some girls are gossiping about their crushes or about the latest trends in fashion. Some, on the other hand, are minding their own business. It was the usual scenario here in our college. For some reason, I find peace in this kind of chaos.

"Claire!"

Lahat ng estudyante sa hallway ay napatingin sa sumigaw ng pangalan ni Claire. Sino ba naman ang hindi mababaling ang atensyon sa sobrang lakas nang pagkakatawag sa aking kaibigan?

Napatingin ako sa likod ni Claire nang matanto kung ano ang mangyayari. I smirked at my friend as I started recording the scene.

Behind her back, Kian has this huge bouquet of roses. Lahat ng estudyante ay naghiyawan. Some are even recording the moment.

The girls who were gossiping about their crushes earlier are now squealing in disbelief and surprise.

Lumapit si Kian sa amin habang bitbit ang malaking bouquet. He glanced at me for a second before giving Claire her flowers.

"For you, Ma'am."

Abot langit ang ngiti ni Claire nang tanggapin niya ang flowers.

"Hindi mo naman kailangang bigyan ako nito."

I smirked at my friend as I teased her. "Kunyari ka pa. Last month ka pa nagpaparinig ng flowers."

Claire glared at me for revealing her secret.

And just like how the world never stops from spinning, the students resumed in their daily activities.

Abala si Claire sa pag picture sa kanyang bouquet habang ako naman ay abalang picture-an ang reaction niya.

"Dali na! Picture-an ko kayo!" I snatched Claire's phone from her hand.

I took a few snaps of them together before I departed.

"Enjoy your date!" Pagpapaalam ko sa dalawa.

"Ingat ka!" Claire waved her hand at me. I did the same.

Nga lang, napansin ko ang galit na tingin sa akin ni Kian habang ako'y nagpapaalam kay Claire. Even though he's possessively holding her waist, his eyes do not claim dominance over Claire. It was for something (someone) else.

Pinagsawalang-bahala ko na lang iyon at nagmadali sa pagbaba ng hagdan.

I hurriedly went to Lauis' classroom. Saktong pagdating ko ay s'yang paglabas niya ng room.

"Laius! Sabay tayo." I waved at my friend.

Nagulat siya nang makita ako, tila hindi inaasahan ang pagdalaw ko.

"Mukhang may ka-date ngayon." Naghiyawan ang mga kaibigan niya kay Laius.

We both glared at them.

"We're not even dating." He sternly said as he plastered a sarcastic smile at his friends.

Sanay na ako sa mga bali-balitang nililigawan ako ni Laius. Sa mga pasimpleng paghiyaw pa lang ng mga taong nakapalibot sa amin, aakalain talaga ng karamihan na may namamagitan sa aming dalawa. It was one of the sole reason why some girls hate me. Not to mention, I am also always beside Santi who was also the campus's heartthrob when he was still studying.
