IN WHICH, they are friends again but fight a lot in a playful way.

the press tour for velma & daphne has arrived. the two will spend the next four days in each other's company in los angeles & new york.
tension has risen between the two leads actors of the film, rae sawyer & sadie sink. they have not seen each other in months, ever since that drunken night. they have not spoken a word either... not a single text. maybe a few emojis left on each other's instagram posts to not draw attention, to show some kind of friendliness.
rae sawyer walks onto set & sits in chair across from sadie sink. avoiding eye contact as much as possible.
they are both dressed in what you would call, dressy-casual. sadie in her usual — a white button down & a pair of slacks with pointy heels. her hair is wavy, parted down the middle. rae is wearing a baby pink knit top with a matching skirt & black pumps. her hair is curled & hits her shoulders, a bit grown out from filming velma & daphne.
the interviewer preps them first with a few warm up questions such as, "how was the filming of this movie" & "were you guys fans of the cartoons or movies growing up?" they answer separately, respectfully. calm & collected.
however, with a simple question, the interviewer revs the tension up a bit. she asks, "how was it like working together?"
rae answers honestly, "oh, it was a joy. sadie & i were friends before the making of the film so our chemistry was already there. i mean, velma & daphne are best friends & more than best friends at times. i think sadie & i played that really well, it was all natural." rae smirks a little. sadie's face goes red. she cannot hide the blood rushing into her pale cheeks.
the interviewer looks over to sadie, "how about for you, sadie?" sadie is a little speechless at first but she is an actor and a good one at that. this little slip up wouldn't mess her up. she replies very articulately, "oh, for sure. we both had a blast making this film with all of our co-stars. we had a real group of friends playing a group of friends. we've all hung out a ton of times. it's great when co-stars get along, then the chemistry translates onto the screen."
the rest of the interviews that day were awkward but they slowly moved to friends territory. they just needed a little warmup.
