the next morning rowan was very distant from juliana, leaving the room anytime she entered. she found it weird as just last night he was so much different, but maybe he just woke up on the wrong side of the bed. the ring of the door bell confused her, all of their close friends knew the code, so why were they ringing the bell.

"coming!" she shouted, rushing to the door and pulled it open, a sight she did not want to see.

"juliana i want to apologize." chris said, holding a bouquet of flowers. she scoffed softly but leaned against the doorframe, crossing her arms while waiting for his apology.

"go on." she muttered. he sighed but started talking, knowing it was only a matter of time before she closed the door on him.

"look i'm sorry.. what i did was a dick move, and i'm not sure what i was thinking.. i feel like my lust got in the way of my rational thoughts, but if you-"

"what's he doing here?" jackson asked, standing behind juliana and placed his hand on her shoulder.

"he was just leaving." she smiled and backed away from the door.

"juliana just, think about what we had... i don't want to lose that." she froze while closing the door, looking up to the man while pushing it back open.

"what we had?" she questioned, to which he nodded.

"all the memories we have, jules." a scoff was heard through the tense silence she let build.

"our whole relationship all you did was control me.. control what i did, what i wore, for fucks sake where i looked.. that's not what i want, and you've showed me just where i lay in your book when you did what you did... so you think about that, think about how you treated me, how you ruined our relationship." she turned away from the door and pushed passed jackson, seeing rowan stood close behind jack.

"will you at least give these to her?" chris said while extending his hand with the flowers to jackson.

"go give them to the girl you fucked." he muttered before closing the door on him. when he turned around rowan was just stood in a daze, but you could tell he was furious.

"don't do anything stupid." jackson said, snapping the ravenette from his daze.

"juliana doesn't want us to hurt him.. we hurt him she will never forgive us, no matter what he does to her." rowan groaned and grabbed his helmet, practically tearing the door off the hinges while opening it. he wasn't sure what the sudden drift in affection towards his sister was about but he wasn't sure that he liked it.

he knows juliana and he knows rowan. juliana may seem strong and independent, never wanting anyones help but shes sensitive. she wouldn't show that person that they hurt her but jackson was the first to know. and rowan on the other hand wasn't for relationship, he wanted to fuck and keep it moving. he wasn't affectionate and he wasn't the best at sharing his emotions, and jackson knew if anything was going on between the two, it wouldn't end well.

"jules, can i come in?" he knocked on her door softly.

"i'm fine jack.. just please, leave me alone." his heart broke hearing her struggling to hide the hurt in her voice.

"okay, well... i was gonna go get some lunch, probably canes.. should i get your usual?"

"yes please." she said softly, muffled by something.

"okay, i'll be back soon." and with that he left her alone as she requested.

right as she seemed to be dozing off there was a knock on her door. she glanced to her clock and it had been thirty minutes since jackson left, so she figured it was just him coming back. however it was someone different, someone she wasn't sure she wanted to see.

"can i come in?" rowan asked once she opened the door.

"i just want to be left alone, please." her voice came out as a soft whine. he sighed but nodded.

"that's okay, but if you want me to talk some sense into him.. don't hesitate to let me know." she smiled softly and nodded. he walked off to the guest room he practically owned now. she closed the door and thought about what he said. she didn't want rowan to talk sense into chris, not because he doesn't deserve it. but because she didn't want that to be an invitation for him to come back and give her a sob story, she didn't want to be with him anymore.

"oh sorry, i knocked but figured you fell asleep." jackson stood in her doorway, a bag of food and two drinks tucked in his arm.

"it's okay, zoned out i guess." she flashed a small smile, watching her brother sit in her desk chair and un bag the food.

"i got you an extra toast, i know you love it." she smiled, taking the styrofoam box she was being handed. he pulled a straw from the bag and placed it on her desk, standing to leave but her voice stopped him.

"don't leave me." she practically whispered, too afraid to admit she didn't want to be alone. he sat back in the chair, spinning it towards her and placed the food in his lap. this is how they would eat most nights after the crash, they were terrified of being alone so they spent every night together, most nights sleeping on the floor by each others beds.

"thank you." she mumbled, taking a bite from the bread. he smiled with a soft nod, taking his box from the bag and opened it.

"rowan told me you went on a date yesterday, how'd it go?" his face lit up when she mentioned the date.

"oh she amazing.. we've been just feeling each other out these passed couple of dates, but i think she's the one.. she's said she wants to meet you, but i figured i should ask you first." juliana smiled, pouting her lip softly.

"my little brother is in love." he blushed, looking away from her.

"i'd love to meet her, she can come over for dinner sometime this week.. i could make your favorite." he smiled, looking back up.

"the pasta mom used to make?" he said, clearly excited.

"yup, the pasta mom used to make." his smile grew again, leaning forward for a hug.

"thanks jules." she nodded, continuing to eat. jackson couldn't stop the thought of rowan messing around with his sister from popping into his head.

"did you and rowan do anything last night?" he asked, making her eyes meet his.

"no... why." he shrugged.

"just wondering, his emotions seem different towards you." a small smile spread across her face.

"different how?" she asked, making him shake his head.

"i don't know, he just seems.. protective." her cheeks flushed, looking down to hide it.

"do you like him?" jackson asked, noticing how red she was.

"i.. i don't know." jackson let out a sigh of relief, turning as her door was pushed open.

"sorry, me and the guys are going for a ride tonight... you in?" rowan asked jackson, but he turned to juliana for her approval.

"i'll be fine.. i'm going to the bar to see chloe tonight anyways." the brunette smiled and turned back to rowan.

"yeah, i'm in." the ravenette smiled and looked over to juliana, giving a soft nod before walking out of her room.
