Natasha walked inside the gala and it was already crowded.
"Nat!" Yelena says and walked over to her sister. "Do you want some champagne?"
"No, thank you. I'm still not feeling that good." Natasha says
"Oh, well I can get you a water." Yelena says
"I will grab some later." Natasha says, "You look great."
"So do you! I mean, wauw. I love the black and gold." Yelena says
"Me too." Natasha says, "Hey, do you know if Thor and Jane already arrived?"
"Yeah, they came in with Steve." Yelena says
"Do you know where Jane is?" Natasha asks
"Over there at the stand tables." Yelena says and pointed between the crowd.
"Thanks." Natasha says
"Now if you'll excuse me, I have some guest to say hello to." Yelena says and walked away.
Natasha walked over to Jane and Thor, but also Steve was there.
"Jane, hi." Natasha says and tapped Jane's shoulder.
"Natasha, hey." Jane says, "Are you feeling better?"
"Yes, much better." Natasha says
"You were sick?" Steve asks
"Like you would care." Natasha says and looked up at Steve. "Seems like you brought your assistant, is she your new little project?"
"She's just my plus one, she is actually interested in my mom's charity." Steve says
"And what about you, Steve? Do you care about the charity? Or are you here to kiss my dad's ass to buy his company?" Natasha asks
"I'm here for my mother." Steve says
"Okay, well, Jane I have to talk to you. Thor it was nice seeing you." Natasha says
"It was nice seeing you too." Thor says
"I'm just gonna steal Jane for a second." Natasha says and walked to a more quiet place with Jane.
"What's up?" Jane asks
"I've heard the name of your doctor before. Stephen Strange got an award for his surgery on cancer." Natasha says, "Jane... Do you got cancer?"
Jane stared at Natasha for what felt like hours, tears formed in her eyes when she spoke. "Yes..."
Natasha immediately pulled her in for a hug. Jane started to cry and Natasha held her close.
"Does Thor know?" Natasha asks when she pulled away.
"No." Jane says
"What stage?" Natasha asks
"Just stage one." Jane says, "One day I saw an odd spot on my arm and I went to the doctor and they looked at it and told me I had cancer."
"How is the treatment going?" Natasha asks
"It's going well, I only need one more surgery according to doctor Strange." Jane says
"What type of cancer is it?" Natasha asks
"Skin cancer." Jane says
"I'm so sorry." Natasha says, "If you ever need help with money or just mentally, I can help."
"Really?" Jane asks
"Of course." Natasha says, "I bet your hospital bill is coming soon."
"It is. I want to tell Thor in a week, but maybe then it will look like I just want his money." Jane says
"If you tell him he will probably propose to you to pay for the bill." Natasha says
"You really think so?" Jane asks
"He loves you, he would do anything for you." Natasha says
"I know, and I love him too, so much." Jane says
"Then let's wipe those tears and go have some fun." Natasha says
"Okay." Jane says and smiled
Natasha hugged her quickly and they walked back into the crowd.

After ton of coffee's with Natasha, Jane finally got the courage to tell Thor about her cancer. She made a romantic dinner with candle light and red wine.
"This steak was great, Jane." Thor says
"Thanks." Jane says
"I got something to ask you." Thor says
"And I got something to tell you." Jane says
"Can I go first?" Thor asks
"Sure." Jane says
Thor grabbed Jane's hand and got off his chair, he sat on the floor on his knee and opened a box with a ring in it.
"Jane, I love you so much. You make me the happiest man alive. Will you marry me?" Thor asks
"I have cancer." Jane says apologetically
"You... Have cancer?" Thor says and sat back in his chair.
"I wanted to tell you tonight, I didn't know you would propose." Jane says
"Umh, what kind of cancer?" Thor asks
"Skin cancer, stage one." Jane says
"How is the treatment going?" Thor asks
"It's going well." Jane says
"And the bill?" Thor asks
"I don't want you to worry about that." Jane says
"Jane, I want you to be my wife. I should take care of you." Thor says, "If you say yes of course."
"Of course I will marry, I'm sorry I didn't give an answer yet." Jane says
"Well, here is the ring." Thor says and put the ring around Jane's finger. "We'll make it work."
"Thank you." Jane says, "I love you so much."
"I love you too." Thor says and leaned over to kiss her lips.
"So there's something else I want to talk to you about." Jane says
"What is it?" Thor asks
"I quit my job." Jane says
"You quit? Why? You love your job." Thor says
"But it wasn't what I wanted." Jane says
"Then what do you want?" Thor asks
"I went to college to become a scientist and then I did interviews for a science magazine, and then The Daily Bugle liked my writing and hired me." Jane says, "I want to take a break and figure out what I actually like, I want to know if I like science or writing or something totally else."
"That's amazing, and I will support you with everything." Thor says
"Thank you." Jane says
"Now let's wipe those tears, I don't like seeing you cry." Thor says and wiped Jane's tears making her smile.

1. I don't know anything about cancer or the hospital. 2. I used skin cancer because someone my mom knows had it for a while and my mom told me about that, so yeah 3. I don't know what cancer Jane actually had in the comics/movie, so I used this one since I got tiny knowledge about it. 4. This is a subplot, I just love Jane and Thor and needed to give them something :)
