What We Deserve (Richardo And Bethany) BWWM [REWRITING]

Chapter Forty-One

Maureen was charged with two counts of murder, use of hard drugs, attempt kidnap, use of illegal ammunition, and many other crimes. She pleaded guilty and spoke with hate towards Ricardo and Bethany when she was asked if she had anything to say after she was judged.

Because she had some mental issues, she was sentenced to the asylum for life and would only be granted bail when she proved to be okay and well but she didn't like it so she decided to end it all by taking her life with the gun of one of the wardens when she was in the bus used to transport mentally unstable criminals.

The news was brought to them and they were quite sad about it and at the same time relieved that they wouldn't have more problems with her now that she's gone.

Bethany, Ricardo, and Gwen were at the park, trying to relax and just have fun after the stress they were put through weeks back then Elle was passing by and decided to come to meet them and talk to Bethany.

When Bethany spotted her she excused herself and went to her so they went to sit on one of the benches in the park to have that talk.

"I am so sorry, I have hurt you so much and... I am so, so sorry for that," she held Bethany's hand and sighed "I wouldn't have gone ahead with my relationship with Mike when I had come to the knowledge of you being his girlfriend, I shouldn't have let my love for him blind me and make me hurt my fellow woman, I am so sorry Bethany" she cried.

"It's okay, I have nothing against you" Bethany assured her.

"My family has hurt you so much and I am embarrassed about that, I just want to apologize for everything" her eyes went to Ricardo who was holding his little girl in his hand. "You deserve Ricardo a lot and he deserves you too" she comments and Bethany turned to look at them then smiled.

"I thank GOD for that, I thank GOD for blessing me and giving to me a wonderful fiancé and daughter," she said and looked at Elle again "You have nothing to worry about, I hold no negative feelings towards you. Everything that happened is in the past and it should remain that way"

"You're a really nice lady, thank you"

"Thank GOD dear and I am so sorry for your loss, I didn't mean for that to happen, it happened all too fast and there was nothing that could be done to prevent it," she said.

"Nah, it's fine. I guess I deserve it even though I get to take care of my little buddy all alone"

"No one deserves to experience bad things, even if we make mistakes, we should be able to redeem ourselves and live good" Bethany said.

"Thank you" she thanked again.

"No need to thank me and least I forget" she brought out an invitation card "I and my twin are having our wedding the same day so I want to invite you" she hands her the card and Elle smiled then they both shared a hug.

"Congratulations and I can't wait for that day to come, you deserve happiness and you should live it to the fullness"

"You too Elle, you deserve to be happy"

"I'll take my leave now, take care," Elle said and stood up with the help of Bethany.

"You too bye" she turned and went to Ricardo.

"Made a friend?" he asked when she wrapped her arms around his torso.

"I think so" she answered.

*Three months later*

"We came here today to join in the celebration of not just a couple but two love-filled couples who made a commitment to love, cherish and adore each other for the rest of their lives." The priest said.

"Marriage is a beautiful thing and must be enjoyed to the fullest..." he continued saying all the marriage stuff and the couples were so excited about finally tying the knot.

Ricardo was smiling as he looked at his beautiful wife who had the veil covering her face but was able to see her grinning at him. They both felt swell because it was finally happening and they will be together forever and nothing will separate them.

They had a bumpy journey some months back and it would have taken both their lives but GOD helped them and they scaled through, secrets were opened, closure was made and, in the end, they were able to conquer and know that they deserved each other.

"Ricardo Herman, would you take Bethany Ayotunde to be your lawfully wedded wife, to love, respect, cherish, adore, commit, treat as your equal and be faithful to her for the rest of your lives, in sickness and in health, to defend her and protect her till death do you apart?"

Ricardo looked at her then nod his head "I do" he grinned and heard her giggle.

"Bethany Ayotunde, do you take Ricardo Herman to be your lawfully wedded husband, to love, cherish, respect, adore, commit, treat as your equal and be faithful to him for the rest of your lives, I sickness and in health, to honor and defend him till death do you apart?" he asked.

"Yes, I do" she replied.

He asked her twin and her fiancé the same question and they said their I do's

"Now, take your rings and place them on their rightful finger" he instructed and Gwen who was the ring carrier brought it forward for them to take.

Ricardo wore her ring on her ring finger and she did the same for him. Rosalie and Leo did so too.

"By the power bestowed in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife" everyone cheered and he looked at the two couples and said "You may now kiss your bride"

Ricardo took off the veil and brought her closer to himself by her waist then dip his head and connected his lips to hers as they shared their very first kiss together.

Everyone stood up and cheered for both couples then they stopped, held hands, and turned to look at all who came to rejoice with them.

"Congratulations Mrs. Ricardo Herman" he whispered into her ear and she giggled then look up at him.

"Congratulations to you too Mr. Ricardo Herman" she went on her tiptoe and kissed his cheek.

"Mummy, daddy" Gwen rushed to them and Ricardo carried her as the three of them shared a hug. "I am so happy that you are finally married, it took really long" she whined and they laughed.

"Well, now I will officially be your mum and we can bond very well like we want to" she pats her nose lightly and she giggled.

"Let's head off to the reception then we can get on to our honeymoon" he looked at his wife when he said the last word and winked which made her face burn up.

She knows what goes up after the reception, when they go on their honeymoon, and when they are alone. It would be so new to her but she was ready for anything with her husband.

"Let's head to the reception," she said.

PS: Acne niptrolpin is a rare skin disorder that causes a dull red bluish coloring on some parts of the skin like the neck, thigh, toenails, fingernails, sometimes on the chin and under the eyes. Pheew! Finally done with this book, I am so hoping that you guys love this book. I started writing this book years ago but didn't have the motivation to continue it but now that it's finished, I feel so proud of myself and I thank GOD and you lovely people for reading my work, it means so much.
