Unfortunately, Bill will not be joining you for the finals... or at least that is what you thought.
Bill sighs, pinching his lid as he murmurs, "Why is this vessel so useless?" He turns to you, his unoccupied body lying in bed with a flushed face and glistening sweat slightly visible on the face as they secrete from the pores. These are the symptoms of whatever bug or virus his body caught, pairing with a high fever. He could not cover this up, as it was very obvious that he caught something when he threw up and Debra happened to walk in on him blowing chunks in the toilet. That, and while he seems to find pain fun, his body shutting down on him like this was an annoyance to him, and he did not feel like staying in it any longer.
The ceiling fan ticks in the hopes of cooling his body down. Light bleeds through the curtains, but not harshly enough for you to turn away. Despite this whole situation, this school morning feels rather quiet and serene. The seniors took finals a few weeks earlier than the other grades and are currently sleeping the day away or playing games downstairs while all the others who still have today and tomorrow left are in the kitchen eating breakfast. This has left the two of you by yourselves in Bill's shared room, free of any disruptions or eavesdroppers.
"Well," he starts back up, "while this is inconvenient, there's nothing I can do about it. That dumb school of yours... ours," he rolls his eye whilst correcting himself with distaste in his tone, "is probably going to have me come at a later date to take those 'finals' again." It is funny how Bill seems to hate the finals more than you, even though he has an entire omniverse's well of knowledge accessible right through his eye, and he probably already knows most of the questions off the bat from being alive for so long. Well, you benefit from it too as he tells you the answers on upcoming tests and such, but it is still his power and experience at the end of the day. He has less of a right to whine than you do, so you cannot help but roll your eyes when he complains.
"Does that mean I'm not going to see you until after school?" You get up from the desk chair, glancing around the room again, slightly annoyed at how garbage and laundry managed to accumulate so quickly after you had just cleaned this room the other day.
"No, I'm still coming with you," his eye creases as he looks at you smugly, "actually, do you want to make a hundred on all of those ridiculous tests of yours so you don't have to worry about your grades anymore?"
A shameless smile quickly breaks out across your face, "Yes..."
He crosses his arms, "Alright, well I hope you don't feel guilty over heavy cheating. Don't bother memorizing those notes of yours on the bus again today."
You can see where this is going.
...
Though Bill seemed a bit animated at first over the prospect of getting your "dumb finals" out of the way in such a dishonest and easy manner, as he seems to enjoy encouraging you to break rules and piss people off, the silence of the classroom once the testing began got him sighing heavily. The fact that Bill seems mildly enthusiastic over merely breaking rules and cheating on tests really goes to show how bored he is, and it has you feeling a bit bad for him every now and then. From what he described, his dimension sounds more vibrant and eventful, albeit more dangerous, but Bill seems like the element of danger - from his descriptions so far that he has given you of his time spent in the Nightmare Realm, he seemed to be the apex predator there, so to speak. Of course what you might consider dangerous to you might be mere entertainment for him, so the peaceful and mundane school life is obviously not something for him to write home about or smile upon. You just hope he does not leave you one day because it is boring here - just the thought makes you upset. You admittedly get paranoid about it sometimes, but there fortunately seems to be something keeping him from wanting to leave your "dimension".
