Saphira awoke the next day feeling very refreshed. It was Saturday, she wished she had a shift today, but she had one on Sunday and she was looking forward to it. She got up from her bed and got changed into a pair of jeans and a blouse, though when she used the bathroom she looked herself in the mirror and gave herself a side braid, something she hasn't done before. However, she loved the way it looked. She touched her cheeks gently as she thought about Optimus, she wondered what he was doing now.
This would be the first time she has taken a proper look at herself as well. She used to look at herself and see herself as the sad, ugly girl that everyone kept telling her that she is. Now that no longer had her stepmother's shadow over her, and hearing Optimus's words in her mind, she realized she is beautiful. Her eyes sparkled like emeralds, her skin can glow under any light and the volume of her hair just made it look and feel like velvet. Saphira blushed as she realized she was thinking way hard about how she looked for Optimus. And she was still questioning herself why she was thinking that way. But, she couldn't seem to help the feelings she had, and they were growing too.
She giggled to herself and grabbed a tin of baked beans and two slices of bread, and she realized she would only have a few days left of baked beans. She still had the ramen noodles that she has not even touched yet, though when she felt she could have more than one meal a day she would have them. She could have toast if she had butter, but she would be okay. She wasn't going to starve. She was actually looking forward to the day she no longer had the fear of eating. She still had a fear of eating and throwing it back up. Though it couldn't be helped.
She hummed as she made her way to the lobby, eating her food happily while humming softly. She arrived and she did not see anyone. That was a surprise to her. She wondered if they were still in recharge, though she was not sure and she wasn't confident enough in wanting to peak into any of their quarters as she knew that would be rude, and she would most definitely get a talking to about privacy from the autobots.
She heard voices coming from the other hallway, she could hear Ratcher, Optimus and Arcee, and she walked up onto the first floor platform and sat at the couch. She didn't want to distract them as they approach the lobby.
"I'm not sure what else you will find out there, Optimus," Ratchet said as he and the large autobot walk into the lobby with Arcee. "Bee and Bulkhead found the pod in ice, and there nothing else around it."
Saphira raised an eyebrow as she listened, that sounded interesting. "That might be true, Ratchet. However, there could still be clues about our Arctic find, even if it is small and easy to miss." Optimus turned his head and smiled when he saw Saphira. "Good morning, Saphira."
Ratchet looked at her with a surprised, baffled look. "You haven't changed much have you," He teased gently, making her chuckle a little. "It is good to see you up though. Even if you are tip toeing around like that."
Saphira smiled at them, shrugging innocently at them. "I only got up about fifteen minutes ago. And I didn't want to sit in my room all lonely. Anyway, when did you find something in the Arctic? And how did you know something was there?"
"I detected an anomaly shortly after the kids were taken home for the night last night," Ratchet explained as he walked over to a console and typed, bringing up an image of the frozen pod in one of the rooms. Saphira looked at it curiously and saw that it was slowly melting. "I sent Bulkhead and Bumblebee to check it out and they brought this pod back."
Saphira hummed a little as she listened and looked at Optimus curiously. "And you want to go back to where they found it, right? Why?"
"There maybe a clue left behind that they missed," Optimus explained, Ratchet exhaled a little as he prepared the ground bridge. "Arcee and I will search for any clue that may explain the origin of the pod."
