The next morning Erin finds herself in her therapy room, already waiting for the athlete to arrive for their next training session.

She wasn't extremely surprised, because as soon as Alexia made her way through the door, the expression of the Barcelona captain was just like Erin had imagined it the evening before.

The beautiful brown haired woman was wearing dark blue rings under her eyes, her cheeks puffy and she looked extremely tired and exhausted.

"Good morning", the therapist greets the midfielder, her voice friendly, turning around in her seat at the desk as she hears the athlete approaching her with by the dull tone of her crutches.

Alexia didn't say a word, she just puts her crutches into the holder right at Erin's desk, before silently making her way towards the water station to get herself a drink.

It was like the everyday warm up to do this.

The captain didn't care for herself wearing the tight bandage around her knee anymore, she just hoped that those next weeks would get over as soon and as fast as possible.

"Alexia, are you ok?", the therapist asks, her voice soft as she turns in her office chair, watching as the athlete makes her way around the room.

"You know that I am not ok... I bet you can see it, Erin", the athlete mumbles, concentrated on her tiny steps while looking down at her left leg to see how it was moving with the tight bandage that was making it mostly impossible for her to move or bend the freshly operated leg.

At those harshly phrased words the therapist turns around immediately, standing up as she makes her way towards the athlete, while Alexia was trying to quickly get over towards the water station.

"Alexia?", Erin asks with a soft voice as soon as she approaches the athlete.

Her appearance did not make Alexia look at her, instead the Barcelona captain just focused on her steps, not wanting to talk to anyone at all. It was not because of the blonde. It was because of the fact.

Erin sighs at this.

"Alexia...", the blonde tries again as she walks closely beside the brown haired women.

"Please Erin, let's just do the therapy. I am really not in the mood to talk about this", Alexia begs, hoping that for this one time the blonde would just be her.

"You are aware of the fact that we cannot improve the way I wished you for, as long as you are not mentally here, right?", Erin informs with a still very soft voice, knowing that she needed to be patient with the midfielder.

Thankfully she could be extremely patient.

That's when the blonde sees the captains eyes watering up, as soon as those hazel eyes lock with hers. Erin couldn't stand that sight, even though she didn't know the athlete well, she hated it to see her this sad.

"Did you watch the match last night?", Alexia asks, her throat tight, as she again looks into Erin's eyes.

The blonde just nods at this, pressing her lips into a flat line, as she looks towards the ground, not really sure for a second.

"Well, there's still one group game left. I bet they'll do it", Erin says, trying to lighten up the mood as they stand there, none of them attempting to move away.

"Yes... they", Alexia mumbles, hating that she couldn't be there with them and had to be in this rehabilitation center instead.

"Alexia...", Erin sighs, running her hand through her hair as she sees the brown haired woman looking at her with a questioning, yet begging look.
