Sworn Enemy Next Door

Mirabel POV:

Suddenly they jumped at me, hugging me.

They cried into my shoulder

After a bit they pulled away and started asking me questions.

"Wh- What are you doing here?! How did you get here? "
Isabella said

"Well-"
I was cut off

"Did she hurt you? Did she force you to come here?! "
Camilo said

"What? - No.... Please, can you guys calm down. " I requested before they caused more commotion

"The one who took me here actually offered me to come here, I came here because I wanted to. And the people here are so nice and helpful, they let me stay here for a bit in their home."
I said in one breath so they didn't have time to cut me off

They both shared a glance and Isabella opened her mouth to reply-

Knock knock

"Hey, sorry I left you guys here. I had to tell my dad y'all wanted to see him"
Y/n said as she closed her room's door

"You!"
- Camilo

"Me? What about me ? "
- You

"You brainwashed my prima into coming here. "
Camilo said as he stood up and approached y/n

"Sorry, but I haven't manifested that gift and I don't think I will. "
Y/n replied back and you could see she tried to be polite as possible.

"How could we trust you? "
Camilo said

"Good question.. "
Y/n said as she awkwardly played with her fingers

"Then we'll be taking Mirabel"
- Camilo

"Woah there Tiger, I thought you were talking about that lady over there "
-you

"Camilo, just stop. "
I said slightly embarrassed

"Wait... Are they the people from your village? "
Y/n asked me

"Yes,-"
Isabella Invites herself into the conversation

"Well I won't allow you to take her, your mistreatment towards her proves that you and village don't deserve her . "
Y/n said, strictly and stared them down in way to show dominance

"Mis- mistreatment?! When did that happen?! "
Camilo said as his voice got louder and I am sure if she wasn't a girl he would have charged at her

"STOP"

....

Silence filled the air as the stared at me

"I didn't tell you about my village because I was scared okay.. And I left with her because I was scared too.. "
-Mirabel

"I'll leave you to discuss this... It's family business that I shouldn't be involved in.. "
-you

"You took her away and now you're running away?! "
Camilo yelled as he grabbed y/n's wrist and tugged at it

"DON'T TOUCH ME, CONTROL YOURSELF! "
Y/n yelled back as she pulled her hand out of his grip

"YOU JUST KIDNAPPED MY PRIMA! EXPLAIN YOURSELF"
Camilo argued, his anger didn't seem to go down it seemed it only got worse

"Listen here.."
Y/n said through gritted teeth

"If I hadn't been there, if she were to ever wander a little further, a group of terrorists would spot her and kill her in the most horrible way. I'd know because a family member died there and we always took a specific route to avoid them. "
Y/n said sternly yet her voice was a little shook

"Well, why'd you go there anyway? "
Isabella questioned

"That's personal information, it's necessary though. "
Y/n said

"We're still taking her, she has a home, safer then here. "
Camilo tried again to leave

"Here is safer than there, I've noticed a crack in the mountain your town is located, these people will notice and probably already have and get you, your family and your whole village. "
Y/n said

"But we can't just leave our family there! "
Isabella worriedly

"Me and and my family could get your family to safety. If you'd just calm down and take things with ease. we would be able to talk and sort things out. "
Y/n said looking at camilo in a pleading manner

"I am 'cAlM' "
Camilo said mockingly

"If you say so, I'll go inform my family right now, is that okay?"
Y/n stated in firm but calm, low tone.

And with that, me, Camilo and Isabella were alone once more

"Are we going to believe what she said? "
Camilo said

"She literally told me about them on our way here, she even pointed towards them while we were walking."
I said, trying to prove her right

"We have to accept their help, we need it-- Our family needs it"
Isabella said worriedly

"Fine, I trust your decision"
"Not hers, for all we know she could be tricking us. "
-Camilo

"Do you have an explanation as to why she would? "
"What would she gain from it, if you're so stubborn about it. "
I said, clearly frustrated.
What would she gain from it, really?
Our candle, our magic? It's gone now, she doesn't even know about my family's history.

"... "
Camilo didn't reply, his face softened slightly realizing he's being unreasonable, blaming someone who's just trying to help.

Silence filled the room for a hot 3 minutes before the door burst open,

"We need to go now! "
Y/n's older sister, Rosa said gesturing to us to come out of the room aggressively.

"What?! Why?! "
Isabella asked as we left the room

"The village that's next yours are raiding your village! "

I tried to finish this chapter as fast but in the best way possible

When I first started this chapter, in the middle I had an ending idea but I procrastinated again and my writers block took over and when I came back 2 weeks later, I forgot what my idea was.

So I worked with what past me wrote and next I'll just write down ideas in my note in case I procrastinate again.

So when I come back, I know what I am doing.
