Instead, she decided to get up to see what time it is. She got up, scratching her eyes, then took a turn to see the time, and besides the alarm clock was a note
She picked it up and read it, it’s from her big sister Rimuru
The note says “Good morning, Chloe. Seems like there’s no school for today because of the rain, mom has been contacted by your teacher and got the news. Anyways, If you’re reading this you should be up now, go downstairs and eat breakfast, ok? Love you!”
Chloe after reading the letter became red from embarrassment, she does this every time she receives something like this from Rimuru
After that, she happily get down stairs with a big smile on her face. It’s clear that Chloe is starting her day great from the looks of it
But she seems like forgetting something, but she didn’t mind it
She saw her Mother already preparing breakfast for everyone. But something is missing
“Mom, where’s Onee-san?” Chloe asked
“Oh, Good morning Honey! Your sister went to Velgrynd-san’s place so she won’t be joining us to have breakfast” Mother answered
Chloe nodded then sat next to her brother, then started eating their hot breakfast in a cold weather, but the atmosphere is some kind of awkward silence
The only thing Chloe could hear is the utensils clanging to the plate, the food being chewed, and the noise of the rain outside. And for Chloe, this is a rare occurrence where everyone is silent
The family usually talks a lot about their day yesterday or some kind, but today is just silence
‘Something smells fishy’ Chloe thought
“Uhm, is something wrong..?” Asked the Chloe who can’t stand the silence
“O- Ohh there’s nothing really wrong, right?” Mother turned and asked the two men at the dining table
“Yes, there’s really nothing wrong, why’d you asked?” Father replied while Belze is still eating quietly
“Hmm.. I’m just not used to this silence, so I thought there were something wrong...” Chloe said
‘Really fishy. Are they trying to hide something from me? I hope not, but why are they acting like that’ Chloe thought
After that, the family eventually started talking as usual until the breakfast is over. They were talking about non-celebration related so that Chloe won’t at least remember her birthday
