Would you consider writing a book in the contemporary romance genre as opposed to one that falls into the paranormal or fantasy category?
Probably not. I can't really explain it, but I don't really enjoy reading or contemporary romance. I love reading contemporary thrillers and mysteries, but with romance, I need the danger amped up a bit, with the threat of actual monsters lurking in the corners.
I think I would be more like to write a paranormal or urban fantasy novel without romance, than I would to write a romance novel without the paranormal or fantasy aspects.
