My Academic Rival

Jennie sat down at her desk, full of confidence, she knew she would ace this test as well, but a small part of her was still terrified that her Academic Rival would do a better job than her, like he did on the last test or on the test before and the test before and before

Jennie would always get perfect grades but somehow he managed every single time to do better than Jennie, how was that possible? Jennie would ask herself the same question every day but now.. she was sure that she would do a better job than him

 thinking about him that's when he entered the classroom...

Tall, handsome, funny, strong, rich and intelligent; this boy was everyone's dream boyfriend, all the girls would drool over him whenever he walked down the hallway or say something smart or even do the bare minimum but there was this one girl, the one exception that hated him to his guts and that girl was Jennie

Obviously as soon as the guy entered the classroom everyone went to him but instead he ignored them all and sat on his seat which was next to Jennie

Hey muffin, how are you doing?

I am not in the mood, Jungkook - Jennie rolled her eyes not even paying attention to him

Looks like someone woke up on the left side of the bed - Jungkook said with a chuckle

Actually i was in a great mood that was until you came - Jennie looked at Jungkook and gave him a sarcastic look

Jungkook was about to say something but the teacher walked in, suddenly Jennie got nervous, her forehead got sweaty and she started shaking, tons of thoughts came to her mind at once

what if she got lower score than Jungkook?  what would her father say about this? would he force her to study 24/7 like the last time he did?

But Jennie shook off her thoughts from her head and tried to concentrate on what the teacher was saying

all the other kids went back to their seats when the teacher shushed them and announced that they were not going to have a test anymore, the kids cheered and celebrated, meanwhile Jennie was mortified, she had pulled an all-nighter yesterday just so the teacher could cancel the test? she only got 2 hours of sleep and all the studying she did last night was just a waste of time? This thoughts came to Jennie's mind all at once

Jungkook noticed Jennie's devastated face, so he decided to tell her something about it

Hey cupcake, don't worry, we'll have test on another day or perhaps never! isn't that good? I mean even I was lazy to write that test - Jungkook tried to make a joke but nothing came to Jennie's mind

I was up all night studying for this test, i barely even slept, I wanted to ace this test! - Jennie turned around to Jungkook and said with an angry voice

Jungkook felt bad but he didn't know what to say, suddenly the teacher announced one more thing, she said that instead of writing a test...

You guys will be making a project with the person sitting next to you, the project will contain a power point presentation of how to save the environment and you'll need to come up with your own logo with your project partner

WHAT!? - Jennie shouted and stood up from her seat angrily making everyone look at her with confusion

Is there a problem Jennie? - the teacher asked

Uh..sorry ma'am, it's nothing...uh, may i go to the restroom?

Yes you may - the teacher said to Jennie than she continued talking to the whole class - the project will be due for the next week so you all better hurry up, also this presentation will make up 70% of your grades

Jennie walked out of the classroom as everyone continued doing their job, Jungkook's eyes followed Jennie's moves, he felt something sting inside of him, it seemed like he was worried..

Jennie entered the bathroom, she fell on her knees, she felt tiredness and anger and sadness at the same time, she was supposed to be Jungkook's rival not his project partner, she was supposed to fight against him not help him! what would her father say about this

she spent rest of the time in the bathroom until the bell rang

than she stood up and said to herself in the mirror

stop making a fool out of yourself Jennie, get your acts together, this is not a big problem at all, you'll walk out of this bathroom right now and you'll ask Jungkook when and where to meet for the project - Jennie walked out of the bathroom, she wiped her tears and fortunately the first thing she saw was Jungkook standing next to the locker with two other boys and girls

Jennie was about to say something when Jungkook notice her and went up to her first, leaving all his friends 

than he came closer to Jennie and patted her head, messing up her hair a little bit

Still haven't gotten taller buttercup? - he said with a smirk on his face

oh..shut up, i am here for the project, i just wanted to ask when and where we'll be doing it

anywhere you want - he winked and than suddenly came even closer to Jennie and whispered to her while brushing her hair away - just not in my bedroom, cause i'm afraid you might not be able to resist my charms and do something to me there

Jennie turned into a tomato but she pushed Jungkook away and answered back with the same smirky tone

great than we'll be doing it in your bedroom

Jungkook looked surprised and he couldn't say anything, he stood frozen in front of Jennie while she was laughing at his reaction

but then Jungkook pulled Jennie's waist closer to him and said

looks like my girlfriend learned how to flirt

Your girlfriend, my ass, gotta go now, don't have time for your stupidity - than Jennie freed herself from Jungkook and went to her class

After class, it started raining, Jennie thought to herself that Jungkook had probably gone home, since his classes ended earlier and it was raining

But when she left the school building she saw Jungkook waiting for her, soaked wet

Are you insane? Why would you wait for me, we're still going to your place

My house is pretty far away, I waited so that I could drive you there

Jungkook didn't notice but Jennie blushed when he said that, her heart fluttered for a split second

Did he wait in the rain just so he could drive Jennie to his house?

Okay let's get inside your car before you catch a cold

Than Jungkook opened the door for Jennie and Jennie got inside

Ladies first - gives her a smirk

Shut up just get in - rolls her eyes
