Ace and Deuce were both in utter distraught and disbelief. "Please! Anything but that! I have things I have to do at this school!" Deuce begged.
"You have nothing to blame but your own idiocy." "I will pay for all damages if I have to!" He pleaded with tears wallowing in his eyes.
"This is no ordinary chandelier. This is a magical chandelier that uses candles that will burn for eternity. It is a masterpiece made by a legendary master of magical tools. It has been entrusted to the school since its very foundation... Taking into consideration its historical value, it would cost no less than a billion madol. Can't you pay for those damages?" Crowley crossed his arms, staring directly at him.
Grace on the other hand didn't have any interest in the circumstance, she never went here in the first place nor wanted to. She crouched next to the chandelier, holding the unconscious kitty in her arms, gently stroking his head.
Deuce stammered over his words. "A b-billion madol!?"
"But headmage, can't you just fix it right up with magic?..." Ace asked. "Magic is not all powerful. More importantly, what we call the heart of any magical tool, the magic crystal was shattered."
“Hm?” His words were the only thing to reach her ears like the gentle chime of a swaying bell. Fully interested in the topic.
"No two magic are the same. This chandelier will never be lit again." He explained as the atmosphere became more tense for them.
"How can that..."
"Crap... What am I doing... What am I going to tell Mom..."
They both felt absolute despair. She could feel the dark negative aura radiating through them both. She breathes a heavy sigh. Even though she is not involved with this expulsion, it wouldn't be right to just sit by and watch them lose everything. Besides, if she actually paid more attention to grim this terrible situation never would have happened.
It's her fault for their expulsion...
She swallowed the lump growing in her throat. "Isn't there some way that we can fix the chandelier, or find a similar crystal to replace it?"
“Hmm..” Crowley caresses his chin. "Well... there is one way to fix it..."
"Eh!?" Ace and Deuce both perked up, hope sparkling in their eyes.
"The magical crystal for this chandelier was mined in the Dwarf's Mine. If we have a magic crystal of the same kind as the original, repairs might be possible." Crowley explained. "I will go find a magic crystal! Please, allow me to go!" Deuce became the first one to volunteer.
"However, I have no guarantee that there are any left in the mine. The Mine has been closed for a while and it's very possible it's exhausted of crystals." He stated.
"I'll do anything to get the expulsion rescinded."
"It can't hurt to try. Natural crystals normally take about a thousand years to form, depending on size. If the Mine has been closed for a very long time and if this one has indeed been used since the school was created like you said, then.. there could be a chance that there could be one in there." Grace said.
Crowley sighed. "...Fine. I shall give you one night. Come to me with a magic crystal by tomorrow morning, or face expulsion." Crowley said glaring at them.
