Why Alone In The Rain?

"Ok Children! It's time to pack up and go home." The teacher said to the younger children.

"Hey! Dazai," The small ginger ran over to the small brunette. "You look scared, what's the matter?" Chuuya asked wondering if his friend was alright.

"No... mommy and daddy won't pick me up today. So I have to walk home by myself. In the rain." He said as he looked outside at the pouring rain and thunder. "It's ok Dazai! Maybe you should come with me instead," Chuuya said with a smile as he offered the shy brunette to come with him. "No... mommy and daddy will get mad at me again," Dazai said thinking about what his parents did last time.

"Ok, Dazai. Well bye!" Chuuya says as he grabs his umbrella and ran outside. While Dazai stood inside waiting for all the other children to leave.

As Chuuya was walking home. He kind of lost his way. The rain was pouring so hard he couldn't see a single thing. After all, it was hard for a kindergartener to get home by themselves in weather like this.

Chuuya saw a little bus stop. So he went over there to take cover. But once he got over there he saw a familiar kid walking through the rain with a small green leaf over his head. It was Dazai. He seemed to have lost his way home too.

At this rate, he'll probably get run over by a car threw this rain. "Dazai!" Chuuya yelled catching the brunette's attention. He ran over to the ginger who had been sitting underneath the bus stop on a bench.

"Why do you have a leaf on your head?" Chuuya asked worriedly. "Well, mommy didn't provide me with an umbrella. So this leaf was the only thing that could cover me from the rain." Dazai said sadly. "Hey once the rain dies down, we can walk home together! That way you won't get sick from the rain." Chuuya said with a big smile.

Dazai always had problems at home. His parents would always fight and sometimes it was in a violent way too. But every time he saw Chuuya's big happy smile. It made Dazai feel happy if it weren't for Chuuya. Dazai would probably be by himself still. Lonely, cold, and afraid.

It still continued to rain but Chuuya and Dazai were still stuck together underneath their shelter.

Chuuya could feel Dazai shivering cold right next to him. The ginger took the other side of his jacket and put it on Dazai's shoulder that way they could stay warm together. And then Chuuya hugged Dazai to keep him warm. And Dazai began to hug Chuuya too.

After a whole hour, the rain stopped and the boys began walking home. It was still sprinkling but they could manage since the sun began to shine.

They both talked on the way to Dazai's house. And they both talked about their favorite thing. Odasaku Man.

Dazai would come over to Chuuya's house every Saturday to watch the new episodes together. And then after watching the new episode they both would rewatch the other episodes they recorded.

Once Chuuya got Dazai home safely, it was time to say their goodbyes.

"Bye-bye Dazai!" Chuuya said with a huge grin. Dazai went up to Chuuya and gave him a hug. "Bye Chuuya..." He said quietly in Chuuya's ear.

And after that Chuuya walked home. After a long day.

but i will definitely be making more one-shots in the future! this is only the beginning of it
