impure

i breathe in so deeply
my line of vision blurs

cracked hearts
treaded
as my hardships bloomed

trembling little girl in the schoolyard sandbox
full of pinched nerves and tv static
she traces her stickmen in the ruins

years later
the lovely fragments of her heart configures
into a relic, a trophy
all to be put on display

i'm so out of reach
with my younger self
constantly reminiscing the simplicity
of being pure again

my innocence has been robbed of me
stolen, and never to be returned
