I woke up to Rory on my stomach, so I gently put her on the bed and went to the kitchen to find something to eat. I decided to make something I call lily rolls which have always tasted the best (lily rolls are a real thing made by my first friend's mom who was named lily) when I was finishing up Roxie and Dave walked into the kitchen.
"Hey y/n, what are you making?" Roxie asked me
"Their called lily rolls" I answered
We talked for 6 minutes before the rolls were ready so I carefully took them out of the oven and put the finishing touches on them I also made Lily rolls with healthier choice in ingredients as well as carob.
"Can we try one?" Roxie asked
"Of course I did make them for everyone" I replied grabbing one myself
"Well we have to go make sure everyone reads this note" Dave said handing me a note
"K, bye" I said waving as they walked out
A few minutes later Ben came out of the boy's room and I let Rory, Iris, Shady, and Blaze run free then Yasmina and Sammy came out at about 5 minutes later, then Kenji and James came out. We all kept to ourselves the only time any of us said something was one when everyone asked where were Dave and Roxie.
"What's up Camp Cretaceous? whoo-hoo!" I heard Darius yell out
"It's not a "whoo-hoo" mood this morning Darius" Kenji said
"Just because Roxie called you out doesn't mean you have to be rude Kenji" I said
"As I was saying, y/n, not after yesterday Trekking through a rainstorm will do that" Kenji continued
"We only had to walk because you crashed our gyrosphere!" James said as Kenji gave him a death glare
"But today's a new day! Kayak day! Who doesn't wanna paddle alongside dinosaurs, real dinosaurs? It's gonna be awesome, right? Wait, where are Dave and Roxie?" Darius said/asked
"The babysitters took off early and left this" Kenji said giving Darius the note
"BRB. Gotta go. Boss-talk. BB. Later. Smiley face. Is that a dinosaur emoji with a thumbs up?" Darius read out loud
"It's Dave speak. Roxie translated on the back" Kenji said
"We have to go talk to our boss. Stay inside until we return. Draw, bond, whatever. The radio's set for channel six in case you need us. Y/n is in charge. Stay inside, stay inside. Do not leave, Kenji, looking at you" the last bit making Darius chuckle "sorry for the kids menus, it's all Dave had"
"Do they understand how old we are? I mean, when was the last time you even saw a crayon?" Kenji complained as me and Ben put up our drawings made from crayons
