daedalus stares at the birds up high,
whispering to himself, "I wish I could also fly."
icarus' reflecting superegos,
wanting to leave the island of crete ruled by minos
he had control of all vessels that leaves the island
the only option is the air that's not banned
with the ability of extemporize
he uses feathers which hope symbolized
signifies weightiness and purity
an essential part to convey peace and divinity.
melting wax that's indeed afresh
illustrates their frail human flesh
gathering the feathers lying around
using melting wax over to bound
daedalus forbade his son in low height
or be damped in the sea with affright
not too high and close to the sun
the wax might melt which he should shun
they flap their wings very furiously
hovering the towers and shout positively
drawn by the exhilaration of flying
the son forgot to follow daedalus' warning
he heed his father for a bit
suddenly flying high, his feathers loose and fall in heat
the wax starts to melt and burn his skin
beginning to fall and lose his keen
daedalus saw his son plummeted in the ocean
poor icarus, left his father struck in mournin'
he was carried ashore to an island without a name
heracles stumbling upon his body as he cry in vain
the island and sea was named after the fallen icarus
the other lived in guilt for the misfortune of daedalus
