Not much to do with the actual plot, but this entire book was inspired by a dream I had! In the dream, there was a large group of siblings who died in horrible ways, and became spirits. At the very end of the dream, they were all on an open road in the middle of nowhere, holding eachother's hands and facing the back of a truck.
