Aurora had spent a majority of her day at home, the coffee shop closed for some minor repairing as she sat by her phone, her fingernail in her mouth as she anxiously held a paper in her hand, a phone number written on it.
She mumbled a small "what do I have too lose" she dialed the number letting it ring a few times before shakily raising the phone too her ear.
"Hello?" Aurora let out a shaky breath, "oh um-" Aurora cleared her throat, "hello." The voice was more stern as Aurora gulped nervously suddenly unable to speak.
"I-I would like to make an order." The bargain was over as ten pounds lifted off her shoulders as the lady spoke "okay honey and what would you like?" She asks in a sweeter tone, Aurora was sure she heard the shakiness in her tone.
"Just one medium pepperoni pizza, hand tossed." Aurora spoke slowly for the lady as she heard a slight hum on the other line. "Is that all?" She asks and Aurora debated on getting wings, "yes ma'am" and like that they talked about price and next thing Aurora knew she was slipping on some lounge shorts and began too tidy up the home.
It's not like the person was gonna come in, but Aurora felt more at peace with getting food with a clean home after.
Aurora slid the Money out of her wallet waiting for the delivery person when her phone dinged. She felt a twisting feeling in the depths of her coffee filled belly and she slowly turned the phone around, the song cardigan by Taylor swift playing lightly in the background.
The frown only deepened as she stared at the short text message. She had only wished it never was sent but things couldn't change.
The ding from the bell knocked her out of her senses and she felt a anger bubble in her veins at the message but she simply breathed in threw her nose and out from the mouth lightly shaking her hands too get the last bit of anger left in her out of her body before she collected the money and opened the door the teenage boy smiled a forced smile.
Aurora sighed deeply (smiling as well) the tension between the two increasing as he handed her the box as she just as quickly handed him the money plus tip and closed the door in his face before he could say anything.
The smell of the greasy cheesy pizza plus the angered thoughts made her sick too her stomach as she thought for a second she might throw up the coffee she had awhile ago.
Of course she didn't actually throw up and she just put down the pizza and grabbed her phone which had turned off and saw the message again and she simply clicked off of it and onto something more positive like- Instagram!
God I love Instagram.
Aurora caught glimpse of what she was wearing while passing the large round mirror on the hallways which was covered with Polaroids of flower fields.
