I think I've finally admitted to myself
That maybe you were my first love.
I never wanted to give you that title, Because we never even dated.
And so I never thought it was fair That I loved you that much, And you just shattered my heart the way That you did.
And I was in denial for so long about it Because I really wanted to save that spot For someone who I know deserved it.
For someone who I know would have deserved to know much more than you did.
I never wanted my first love to break me The way that you did, But there's not much I can do about it.
