A/N: Hiiii 🥰 so I got massive Writer's Block for this chapter. I wanted to include heaps more stuff but then the shit I was writing became too long so adding more on top of it would've turned it into too much of a rambly chapter. So I feel like it's not great but it's shorter than usual so you don't have to endure it for very long lol

"So..." Harry blew out a puff of air as he closed the door behind us after we left Gary's office, "...that happened."

"Is that it, then?" I looked back at him as we made our way down the hall, "We're a...couple? Just like that?"

"Guess so," Harry sighed, "fuck. I can't believe I suddenly have a girlfriend. Fastest relationship I've ever gotten into, that's for sure."

"Same," I took a deep breath as we stopped in front of the elevator, "this feels so weird..."

"I know what you mean."

Harry pressed the down button on the elevator, and we waited together in awkward silence for the lift to come to our floor. It was only a few minutes, but it felt like an eternity.

"Are you...okay?" Harry asked me hesitantly, "You seem...tense."

"Obviously I'm fucking tense," I rolled my eyes as we entered the elevator, "I just agreed to be in a relationship with a person I barely know. For at least six months," I stifled a groan, "fuck, I need a smoke..."

"Okay, geez," Harry huffed, "you don't have to be shitty about it. I'm just trying to be helpful."

"I know!" I snapped, "Ugh. Sorry. I just..." I lowered my eyes and let out a long, shaky sigh, "I feel...very overwhelmed right now..."

I felt like I needed to cry, but I bit down hard on my bottom lip and forced myself to hold it in.

"I never thought it would come to this," my voice was wobbly, "I-I never thought I would ever...have to do something like this..."

"Neither did I," Harry seemed to notice I was in distress, and uncertainly looked back and forth as he tried to decide what to do and say, "look, er...it's gonna be okay. This is gonna work. It's gonna do exactly what we need it to do."

"I know," I anxiously picked at the skin around my nails, "but that doesn't make it any easier to process."

"Look, do you..." Harry hesitated, "do you...wanna get a coffee? I could...take you to a Costa drive-through, and we could...I don't know, sit down at a park or something? Might help us to calm down a little."

"Really?" I looked up at him.

"Sure. I mean...we're meant to be together now, right? Doing our...public appearances and all that?" He ran one of his hands apprehensively through his hair, "May as well get started. No time like the present."

I began to smile a little – somehow reassured by how anxious he seemed. At least I knew I wasn't alone in how I felt.

"Okay. Yeah, let's go," my smile grew as I looked up at him, "it might be nice."

Surprisingly enough, Harry smiled back at me.

"It might be. Come on, then – my car's this way. What coffee do you like?" He asked me as we began to walk together.

"Lattes. Specifically caramel," I replied, "what about you?"

"Black. Always black coffee," Harry said, "with how much I drink, it's the only shit strong enough to get me through my hangovers. Aside from more alcohol, I guess."

I quietly chuckled. "You don't actually seem hungover right now."

"I'm not. But I'm still addicted to black coffee," Harry chuckled as well.
