Differences in Life

In Colony house everyone was sleeping around in places that they could when Tabitha remembers what happened the night before. She wakes up from her bad dream and her husband comforts her about it trying to not wake their kids that were sleeping around them. Jade had finally woken up and started screaming out for his friend Toby. This causes Donna to get up and yell at him. She quickly realises that he is not a nice person and she starts telling him the story about the town.

It was still morning but later in the day Donna was continuing his talk with Donna and Ellis was watching. He suddenly starts laughing. "This.. this is something. I mean, where did he find you?" he asks

"Who?" donna asks confused

"Toby. I mean are you an individual company or.. Because I buy it, I mean." Then he turns to Ellis, "I mean not him so much, I feel like you were trying a little too hard. But otherwise." he starts laughing again. "Well done." he then stands up and moves beside Ellis, "so what do I have to do next. I mean is there some sort of puzzle I have to solve or? Actually don't tell me, don't wanna ruin it."

He then starts walking out the door when Donna speaks up, "where are you going?"

"Well I'm not gonna solve the puzzle sitting here all day. I'm gonna, you know, check out the town, town over a few stones." he chuckles to himself turning to the doorway, "oh this must have cost a fortune." he mumbles as he leaves.

"Do you want me to keep an eye on him?" Ellis asks Donna

"No, let him have his fun." she says, Ellis goes to leave when she stops him, "hey." she says and he turns back to her, "how is Y/N doing with the whole 2 cars, 2 lots of people situation?" she asks.

"I think at the moment she is fine." he explains, "but we are gonna have to wait and see." Donna nods at this and then waves at him to keep going on with his day.

Ethan was laying on his side looking at the boy through the window when his mum came up to him. "Hey buddy."

"Can I go outside today?" he asks

"You gotta stay in bed a little longer." she explains, adjusting his pillow so he can sit up.

"I'm tired of staying in bed. And I don't like these pyjamas." he says adjusting his clothing, "they're itchy and they don't fit right." he explains.

"Oh come on, your dad went to the RV to get stuff too. So tonight, you're gonna sleep in your own Pyjamas."

"We all should have gone." Noah says as he and Julie enter the room.

"We thought it would be best if he just went." Tabitha replies

"I don't like people going through my stuff." Julie says back

"Nobodies gonna do that." Tabitha replies. This causes the older children to roll their eyes.

"How long are we gonna be here?" Ethan asks

"We are... we're figuring that out." she replies softly, "hey, you hungry? I saw them making eggs. You want some eggs?"

"Hobo eggs?"

"No.. no hobo eggs. But they do have oatmeal." she replies getting a nod in return "What about you guys, are you hungry?" She turns to her eldest children.

"No, I think I'm gonna go for a walk." Julie replies.

"Okay stay close." Tabitha says. Noah turns to her sister with a questioning look. She gives him a nod in return, "what about you Noah?"

"I'm good, thanks. I'm going with her." he says as he gets up along with Julie and leaves the room.

"I'm going to get you, your oatmeal. Stay here." Tabitha says, turning to Ethan. She gets up and leaves as Ethan looks out the window again seeing the boy who he waves to, getting a wave back.

Julie was standing in front of the house when Fatima comes up to her and they talk for a bit. Noah sees that Julie got a bit upset and walks up to them from where he was standing in the house. "Hey." he greets softly and Julie looks up at her brother as he wraps an arm around her from the other side as Fatima was on one side. Noah looks towards Fatima over Julie's head with a worried expression. Fatima then gives his arm a rub that was still around Julie.

Jim comes back with his family's stuff and starts messing around with his wife and youngest son. Julie and Noah were passing by the room and entered standing in the doorway. Ethan sees them, "Julie, Noah, look we got our stuff."

"Yeah we can, we can see that." Noah says back, chuckling softly.

"Hey come here." Jim says walking towards them, they all make weird noises towards them as Jim etches closer.

"Yeah, real funny." Julie mumbles. They stop when Donna enters.

"Hey, sorry to interrupt. Father Khatri is here to talk about the choosing ceremony." she explains

"What's the choosing ceremony?" Jim asks

"I'll let him fill you in." she replies

The older members of the family were sitting at a table talking about the choosing ceremony. "When you get here you choose whether you would like to stay here, in Colony house, or down in the town. It's just how we do things here. I'd like to take the both of you, show you around town, show you the house you'll be staying in. if you choose town." Father Khatri explains.

"Well we wanna go." Noah speaks up for him and his sister.

"Noah-"

"This is about all of us, right? We wanna see." Julie justifies

"We need you to stay here and take care of Ethan." Jim reasons

"Why both of us? Or why can't Donna do it?" Noah asks. The parents look at them with a desperate look. The siblings look at each other then sigh.

"Fine, you guys go ahead." Julie says and they both exit the room.

Back at Colony house Ellis just made Ethan a crutch so that he can walk around without hurting himself even more, and Fatima, Noah and Julie are watching closely. "Alright, little guy. Give that a try. And let me know how it feels." he says, handing the crutch to Ethan. Ethan takes the crutch and sticks it under his arm and starts walking around. "How is that?"

"It hurts my armpit," he explains.

"Okay, I can fix that." Ellis takes the crutch back from him and looks for something to put on the crutch when someone sticks out a bit of material to him. He looks up and sees Y/N standing there and he gives her a smile in return. She crouches down as Ellis holds it steady for her while she wraps the material around the top of the crutch. "Okay if this is good, we can tie it on later. Okay?" he says, handing the crouch back to Ethan. Ethan then starts walking with it again and Ellis helps him down the stairs. "Boom!" he cheers.

Fatima makes her way and sits in between Julie and Noah. "He is adorable."

"Why are you doing this for us?" Julie asks.

"Because it's what we do." Fatima explains. She looks to Noah seeing him staring at something and follows his eyeline to see Y/N standing close to Ellis causing her to smirk lightly.
