Recovery is a Long Road

The next morning Julie was sitting with her parents and little brother at the table in the Mathews household. Tabitha and Jim were listening to Julie but they also couldn't help but stress about their other child that they hadn't seen yet. They then heard a knock on the door. They had locked the door so that they could get some uninterrupted time with Julie. "I'll get it." Jim spoke up as he moved from his seat to get to the door. He opened the door and was greeted with Noah standing there with Y/N behind him clutching his arm with one hand and the other was laced with Noah's. "Noah, you're alright." Jim comments with relief. Y/N slowly lets go of the boy so he could hug his father. Hearing the name the rest of the family made it to the area.

"Thank god." Noah said as Julie rushed to her older brother and gave him a tight hug as Noah did the same. Tabitha was next taking her oldest child and giving him a tight squeeze.

She pulls him at arm's length and examines him for a bit. As she moves her hands to his face making sure nothing happened to him. "Are you okay? What happened?" she sees the blood on the top of his shirt, "oh my god, is that blood?" she asks frantic

He puts his hands on her arms, "Mom, Mom." She looks at him. "I'm alright, it's not mine. Sorry we took so long." he says as Tabitha nods softly rubbing his arms before letting go of him.

"I'm sorry, who is 'we'?" Jim asks, they all turn their attention to the door, seeing Y/N still standing there looking at the ground. "Who are you?" he asks the girl.

"Dad." he turns to look at his oldest son who was giving him a stern look.

"Jim, she's hurt." Tabitha notifies after seeing the slash on the girl's head.

Jim looks at the girl for a second then back at his eldest son seeing him give him a pleading look. Jim contemplates for a second, "Come in." he says as he opens the door up for the girl who slowly walks into the house and Noah walks towards her.

"What's happening?" Julie suddenly asks, panicking.

"Julie, we're gonna be fine. Breathe." Tabitha says as she grabs the girl by her face and starts to calm her down. "Every things okay."

"How can you say that?" Julie says till panicking, "what part of this is okay." Tabitha pulls her in for a hug as Julie starts to cry into her shoulder.

The door then suddenly opens revealing Jade. Jade looks at Julie, "ah good you're here. Have you seen Viktor?" he asks, getting closer which causes Tabitha to pull Julie back. Jade then retreats a bit as he looks at Y/N. "Hey, you. You've been in Colony house for a long time right? Would you know where Viktor-'' Jade spoke quickly getting closer to the girl causing her to back away quickly. Before he could finish Noah and Jim had gone up to him and dragged him outside. "Ow! Hey!" Jade complains, "I need to talk to them."

"What the hell is wrong with you? Do you have any idea what they have been through?" Noah was quick to defend. Jade looks at him for a second

"Who the fuck are you?" Jade asks, "You know what, it doesn't matter." He then turns to Jim, "I found something last night. I found this symbol.. The same symbol I've been seeing everywhere." he explains as he goes to show Jim the photo

Jim knocks the photo to the ground, "I don't give a fuck about your symbol." he spat.

"Stay the fuck away from them." Noah adds. Jade looks at the pair

"Okay you're doing the whole protective Dad, protective boyfriend thing. I respect that." Jim looks at Noah confused but instead sees Noah looking through the window trying to make sure they are all okay. Jim softly hits his arm and nods his head to the house and Noah goes back into the house as Jim talks to Jade about the static that he got from the radio.

Noah gets back inside to see Y/N still standing in the living area, shaking, with her hands on her head lightly pulling at her hair. "I didn't want to scare her off." Tabitha speaks up. "There is a first aid kit in the bathroom upstairs." she explains.

Noah smiles at her, "Thanks Mom." she nods at him as he makes his way over to Y/N. "Hey, let's go fix up that cut, okay." he says softly. She softly nods, not looking at him yet as he directs her to the bathroom.

Ellis was getting his shoulder put back into place by Kristi with Fatima by his side. "Can I do anything?" Fatima asks

"Just make sure he doesn't get out of bed." Kristy says as she moves away.

"I need to see her." Ellis states

"I'm sure she is okay." Fatima re-assures, already knowing who he was talking about.

"You don't know that." Ellis argues, "she could be hurt, she could be dead." he quickly spirals. "She was all alone because I left her." he shakes his head.

Fatima rubs up his arm for comfort. "We will hear from her. Nobody confirmed that she was hurt or dead okay. I'm sure she is fine."  Ellis looks unsure at her words but nods anyway.
