                              Meeting Him

Mia:

"Hah... What a life..", I said while looking at the trees outside the car window.

I'll be meeting my fiancé at hindi ko alam kung ano ang mararamdaman ko. Hindi ako naeexcite dahil hindi ko siya kilala at hindi ko rin alam kung ano ang pag-uugali niya.

"Mackenzie, yesterday was your 18th birthday, I expect you to be mature enough and not let this arrangement be ruined. Be nice to your fiancé when you meet him", Daddy said while looking directly on the road sabay tinitignan ang mga papeles na binigay sa kanya ni Secretary Lee. Na siya ring nag d-drive ngayon samin papunta sa bahay ng mga Montehermoso.

"Yes Dad", pasimple akong sumulyap muli sa labas. Tumagal ang ilang minuto at huminto na ang sasakyan sa tapat ng isang malaking bahay.

While looking outside the window, I saw a girl painting on the balcony of the house. I was staring at her at hindi ko maipagkakaila na maganda siya.

"I guess this is the young and last child of  Senator Montehermoso", I said to myself.

She had a long brown hair, long lashes, light brown eyes, cheeks with freckles, pinkish lips. I was still staring at her hanggang mapunta ang tingin ko sa katawan niya.

At a young age, I can see that she has really nice body proportions. Napansin niya atang may nakatitig sa kanya kaya tumingin siya sa gawi ng sasakayan.

Our car was tinted so I couldn't care less if she was staring from this angle.

"Mackenzie, let's go", tawag ni dad and I obliged.

Marahan akong bumaba sa sasakyan. Ngayon ay mas nakita ko nang malinaw at buo ang bahay. It was beautiful. Parang pinaghalong modern at European style ang exterior ng bahay. What can I say, they have the blood of the Spaniards. I bet this was inspired from their hometown.

The girl looked at me. From the way I see it, I think she was curious who I was... I just smiled at her pero iniwas niya agad ang tingin niya sa akin.

We were welcomed by a maid. Mas lalo akong napamangha sa interior design ng bahay na ito. It was the same design as their exterior, pinaghalong modern at European.

"Ah! Mr. Valmorida! We've been expecting you! Please.. please have a sit!", mainit na bungad sa amin ni Senator Montehermoso.

"It is nice seeing you Senator", nakangiting bati naman ni daddy.

The senator sat on the single couch and crossed his legs while holding a tobacco on his right hand and a glass of red wine on the other.

Napaubo ako saglit, hindi ako sanay sa amoy ng usok kaya napatingin sakin si daddy.

"Uh.. Mr. Montehermoso, I think its best if you continue your tobacco later. My daughter here is not used to smoke".

"Oh is that so?", He cleared his throat as he soaked the tobacco from his ash tray.

"So about the arrangement..", he said at sumimsim ng wine. "Why don't we talk it over dinner? I'll also have my sons and daughter join us", nakangiting sabi niya at agad namang tumango si daddy.

Muli kong nilibot ang tingin ko sa bahay at napatigil ito nang makita ang babae, napatingin din siya sakin then she hurriedly ran upstairs.

Nagkibit balikat na lang ako while eavesdropping from the conversation of daddy and Secretary Lim.

"Yeonsu, cancel this meeting tomorrow morning. I need to plan the engagement with Senator Montehermoso, move it to thursday since I won't be occupied at that day"
