Episode 8: Girl power

Our episode opens up with Molly at cheer practice where she suddenly is approached by Brenda, Molly asking what she's doing here. Brenda then tells Molly that she wanted to ask her to come with her to a girl's day out. Molly then accepts Brenda's invitation, followed by Brenda telling Molly to meet her at the Angel Grove mall after school. the boys watch the two from the bleachers, Austin admiring Molly's beauty (from a safe distance, of course). Lance then asks Austin what he thinks they're talking about, followed by Austin telling him he doesn't know but it must be something that the guys aren't invited to. Jamie then informs the two that Molly and Brenda have been best friends since they were in kindergarten meaning they're pretty close, practically inseparable even. Austin then comes to the conclusion that if that's the case, then maybe Brenda can be the key to him getting a chance with Molly, followed by Austin nudging Lance telling him that in exchange Molly could help get him a chance with Brenda. after that, we cut to general Tritor's ship where we see general Tritor electrocuting Predatox as punishment for failing to defeat the red ranger, Predatox begging for mercy all the while Vrak and Cera both watch and do nothing. Tritor spares Predatox's life, ordering a pair of Caprisects to take him away, Predatox promising general Tritor that he will pay for his exile before being forcibly taken out of the throneroom. Vrak is glad to have that brute gone, all the while Tritor then sits back on his throne and watches the two girls on the screen observing their friendship, realizing that the rangers teamwork makes them stronger as a unit followed by wishing there was a way to turn them against each other. a new monster then enters the room, a female monster named queen bee who tells general Tritor that she has the perfect solution to his problem all the while Cera is excited to finally have a female monster for once, being sick of being the only girl on this ship surrounded by guys. queen bee then explains her plan to use her pheromones to put the males under her control while also making the females fight each other. after that, we cut to Molly and Brenda having fun at the Angel Grove mall, followed by a clothing montage and the two taking selfies with each other, however their fun is interrupted by queen bee who sprays the two with her pheromones causing the two friends to start bickering with each other, however their squabble is interrupted by Zador and Alpha who informs the two that a monster has been spotted at Angel Grove high school. we then cut to Austin playing at a soccer game which is interrupted by queen bee and a platoon of Caprisects arriving at the soccer field, queen bee expressing her disgust for men seeing them as beneath her spraying her pheromones at Austin's soccer team putting them into a trance, but luckily Austin manages to dodge her attack. queen bee then orders the Caprisects to take the hypnotized boys to her lair, all the while Fat Jack and Skinny Mack who were watching the soccer game start to panic but are blasted by queen bee's pheromones and taken away by the Caprisects as well. Austin contacts Jamie and Lance on his morpher telling them that a monster just wrecked his soccer game and kidnapped his teammates. Jamie and Lance then tell Austin that they'll be right there in a moment followed by Austin whipping out his morpher and morphing to fight the monster one-on-one. however queen bee manages to overpower the black ranger, smacking him around with her laser whip telling him to kneel. however Austin is then saved by Jamie and Lance who arrive on the scene on their megaforce cycles, firing lasers at the monster from their bikes saving Austin in the process. Jamie and Austin then both double-team on the monster (cue Goseiger episode 9 first fight), however she manages to spray both black and blue with her pheromones causing them to writhe in pain before lying on the ground completely numb and de-morphing. Lance then demands queen bee to tell him what she did to them, followed by queen bee telling the red ranger that her pheromones put them under her spell and that they're now her servants and that he'll be next. however before she can attack the red ranger Molly and Brenda then both arrive on the scene on their megaforce cycles, blasting lasers from their bikes at the monster. Lance then thanks the girls for arriving just in time, followed by Brenda and Molly telling Lance to leave it to them whipping out their headder blasters only for the three of them to be blasted by queen bee, followed by Lance deflecting the blast with his dragon sword before going one-on-one with the monster only for him to get blasted by her pheromones causing him to de-morph and become paralyzed. Molly and Brenda then both intervene to protect Lance, summoning the tiger claw and phoenix shot. the two then argue with each other on how to combine their weapons, however it doesn't seem to work. they then both try to fight the monster solo, however queen bee manages to lay the smackdown on both of them. queen bee then manages to deliver a deadly kick that manages to send the two female rangers flying, only for them to be saved by the nearby goal post followed by them de-morphing. she then orders the Caprisects to carry the three male rangers away while the two girls can only watch before being knocked out unconscious. Alpha watches this all unfold from the viewing screen, panicking asking Zador what to do. Zador then tells Alpha to teleport Molly and Brenda to the command center immediately. Alpha then presses a button on the viewing screen teleporting both female rangers to the command center. Alpha then wakes both Molly and Brenda up, Molly thanking Alpha for saving the two of them. Brenda then pushes Molly out of the way and asks Zador what happened to the guys, followed by Zador explaining to the two of them that the queen bee monster secretes a deadly pheromone that turns men into her mindless servants and that they must act quickly if they are to save them. the two girls then start bickering over what they should do and start fighting each other, Alpha asking the two girls to stop fighting each other reminding the two that they're supposed to be working together. Zador then tells Alpha it's no use reasoning with them, saying that queen bee's pheromones must have put a spell on the two that turned them against each other. the two girls then face away from each other before saying that they never want to see each other again before both teleport out of the command center, Alpha telling Zador that she thought that they'd never leave. we then cut to queen bee in her secret underground lair sitting on her throne with all the hypnotized men serving her, Lance filing her nails while Austin is fanning her. poor Jamie is stuck having to give her a foot massage, followed by Austin laughing at his misery before Jamie tells him to knock it off all the while Fat Jack and Skinny Mack are stuck serving her bug juice drinks. Cera then enters the underground lair telling queen bee that she admires what she's done with the place congratulating her for managing to subdue the power rangers, telling her that general Tritor wants to have a word with her. we then see a hologram of general Tritor pop up out of Cera's tablet followed by Tritor congratulating her on enslaving the human race and for capturing the power rangers. Tritor then notices there are two missing and asks queen bee where the two female rangers are. queen bee then informs Tritor that her pheromones have a different effect on females than it does on males, telling general Tritor that the two are going at each other's throats as we speak and that it'll only be a matter of time before they destroy each other, of which makes general Tritor smile in content. we then cut to Molly and Brenda running into each other in the forest where the two stare each other down arguing over who gets to save the boys followed by the two morphing and hopping on their megaforce cycles to race each other to see who gets to the monster's location first and save the boys followed by the two arriving just outside the cave entrance followed by the two female rangers hopping off their bikes and fighting each other over who gets to save the day. Austin then notices the two girls fighting each other and comments on how it must be a lucky day getting to witness the two girls in a catfight followed by cheering on Molly telling her "that's my girl!". Jamie then tells Austin to get his mind out of the gutter before attempting to get the girls to cut it out by reminding them that they've been best friends since they were six. queen bee then orders the three male rangers to shut their mouths followed by the three all putting their hands on their mouths. the two girls then start to come to their senses, having childhood flashbacks to when the two were best friends in kindergarten and the spell starts to weaken causing them to stop fighting, once free from the monster's spell the two friends then reconcile with each other. queen bee then has enough of this and exits her lair to confront the two female rangers, telling the two that if they won't destroy each other she'll just destroy them herself. Brenda then rushes towards the monster head-on to protect her friend, however Molly tells Brenda to hold still using one of her power cards to ensnare her in vines before morphing to fight the monster by herself (cue Goseiger episode 9 second fight), Molly using the land brother zords in conjunction with her headder blaster to combat her laser whip. Brenda then begs for Molly snap out of it and let her go, thinking she's still under the monster's spell. Molly then informs Brenda that she's not under any sort of spell, telling Brenda that if she let her go she'll just rush into battle and get herself hurt again and that she can't afford to lose her one and only best friend, followed by Brenda telling Molly that she was trying to protect HER best friend as well. the guys are moved by those words, realizing that the two really do care about each other. Alpha then contacts Brenda, telling her that help is on the way and that she's downmorphing a new set of zords, a gift from Zador as a reward for her learning to strengthen her friendship with Molly and breaking that monster's spell. Alpha then presses a button on the viewing screen followed by a new power card popping out of Brenda's belt buckle which cuts through the vines freeing her. Brenda then summons the sky brothers zords, using them in conjunction with her headder blaster to free Molly from queen bee's laser whip. once the two best friends reconcile, they attach the ptera and tyranno headders to their blasters to perform a dino blast attack to finish off queen bee thus freeing all the men from their captivity, Fat Jack and Skinny Mack thanking the two ladies for freeing them kissing Brenda and Molly's hands much to their disgust. we then cut to Cera returning to the ship reporting to general Tritor of queen bee's defeat followed by general Tritor ordering Vrak to make the monster grow. Vrak then snaps his fingers and summons the zombats to make queen bee grow followed by the three male rangers morphing to summon their zords to form the guardian megazord (cue Goseiger episode 9 megazord fight). queen bee then ensnares the guardian megazord in her tentacles, followed by Lance summoning the sky brothers zords to form the sky guardian megazord to destroy queen bee once and for all. after that, we cut to Ernie's where we see Ernie jr. serving drinks to the five rangers, followed by Austin asking Molly and Brenda what exactly they were doing that they didn't want the guys knowing about. the two girls then look at each other before they tell them that they were off on a girl's day out at the mall, Brenda showing them the photos that they took on their phone which makes Austin feel disappointed for not being invited while the other two guys pat him on the back. our episode then ends with the two girls sharing a drink together and high-fiving each other.
