"Ah, don't worry… it was just someone playing at school, nothing serious."
"Are you sure? We could talk with your professors to try and get them back."
"No—! I mean… it's okay. Really." She shook her head, trying to convince her aunt. "He said he'll give them back."
Those last words were a lie, but at this point she just wanted to rest after the first day at the new school. "... If you say so." She lowered her gaze and let out a sigh, still playing a little with her fingers.
"Your parents will probably call you later. Let your uncle and I know if you need anything."
The woman closed the door of the apartment, and after that the h/c-haired lady dropped to the floor, completely exhausted.
Her first day in class was supposed to be great, or so she assumed. But it turned out to be rather depressing and overwhelming, at the same time.
No one seemed interested in her in the slightest and she didn't have the courage to go introduce herself to the others personally, and on the other hand, due to joining classes late, she had to catch up on a lot of homework and also prepare for a big festival the school will be having in a few months.
But the straw that broke the camel's back was when a young man with heterochromatic eyes took the pins out of her bag and "borrowed" them without her permission, under the pretext that they were shiny and he liked them, so he wanted to take a closer look. Only for him to then disappear into the crowd, without returning her belongings.
She hopes the rest of the week goes better.
