Mila, Jennette and Calix are uphillers in a secluded society on the mountain slopes where the people are divided into two groups: the noble uphillers and the dreaded downhillers. But when Jennette visits downhill society out of mere curiosity, her entire world changes.
Meanwhile, Mila is driven by power and wealth. To be taken seriously by the men around her, she must become the best of the best.
Calix wants nothing more than to be the rebellious charmer he always was, only so he could be exactly the opposite of what his father wants him to be. When the three situations clash, erupting in murders, runaways, secrets and hatred, their hillside society may crumble into nothing but ashes and terrors, with only a few aware of the truth of it all.

This was the most challenging cover that I've ever made. I'm not ashamed to say that I'm a metalhead, and various black metal album covers served as inspiration for the thunder on the background. Most importantly, please check out the book. This story is amazing; there are so many twists and turns and the author had a keen eye for details.
