Aurelia is a Courtesan, not an Assassin. She'd never imagined that she would murder anyone. Her world is turned upside down, however, when she kills a high-ranking Senator in self defense. Given his status, and his family, Aurelia knows she will be executed without a trial. When all hope seems lost, the Assassin's Guild of Glascoast steps in and offers her a rare opportunity: if she succeeds in assassinating seven senators in seven days, she will be permitted to join their ranks, and her murder will be written off as Guild business. As Aurelia struggles to complete the task set before her, she discovers that there is much more to this challenge than meets the eye. There are dark currents swirling through Glascoast, and somehow, she has stumbled into the heart of them. Hemmed in on all sides, a choice looms before her. Its consequences will ripple through her city, and have the potential to save or destroy her world.

First of all, a little bit of advertising for one of the best book clubs here on Wattpad, aka @DreamlandCommunity, which introduced me to this fantastic novel through their Raid book club. This cover was a real challenge for me. I did say to the author, "I gave up on it; I can't do it," but the stubborn woman in me couldn't rest on a defeat. Aleksandra, you have been wonderful with me and so patient for this beauty to be unearthed. Thank you again for pushing me to give my best and to write and share with the world such an amazing story. I literally devoured the book, and you should, too.
