I walk along the beach. The sand tickles my toes and the dark night smells like sea. I'm looking for Kai. After his falling out with Chelan I haven't seen him. Chelan wanted to apologize but we couldn't find him anywhere. I know where he is but I didn't want to tell Chelan because I promised to keep his secret safe. I'm bad at lying so when Chelan asked me where I was going I needed to be careful I didn't turn as red as my hair. I arrive at the cave from Kai. When I hear him singing, I don't know the song, it's not a siren song. His voice is breaking but it's still beautiful.

He stops "Neptune don't breathe so loud" I walk into the cave. "I'm sorry" "how long were you here" "I just arrived" he nods. "Hey, I shouldn't have lashed out to Chelan. I'm sorry I'm so easily irritated." I sit down next to him. He puts down a book he was writing in. "Don't be sorry. I get that you feel different. You are different. But that isn't necessarily bad Kai." He nods. He takes a swig from a bottle. I wonder what it is. "It's alcohol Neptune, nothing for kids like you" he jokes, I like Kai he always makes me smile. He hands me the bottle. He sighs, "maybe different isn't bad, but feeling left out is. I'm still the weirdo, no one would notice if I'd disappear." "Hm, I don't deem that the truth" I take sip from the bottle. My throat begins to burn. "God this tastes like cows piss." I exclaim. He laughs "oi! be little more respective to cows. They are pretty cute creatures" I laugh. "I don't think they are, but seriously. How can you drink that?" I ask. "I don't know... I just swallow like normal people do" he says chuckling. I like it when he laughs altough there aren't many occasions where it's real. If he genuinely laughs he has dimples if it's not genuine he doesn't. I notice things like that. I only notice it with him. I think I see him as my closest friend. He will always stand beside me, whatever I do. I've used that on many occasions. Regretfully I can't say the same for me. I let him down hundreds of times. I do feel guilty about it. "We should go whale watching" Kai says. I agree. Kai has a thing for languages, he speaks whale. He can sing like they sing. He helps mother's with bringing up little ones and if little ones lose their mother he helps them find her. He's incredibly gentle with those collosal creatures. Our tribe owns trained whales and trained dolphins but Kai thinks we shouldn't tame them we should just ask them for help when we need it. Kai taught me some whale words but I always mess up. Like I wanna say oh look fish. I say oh cook dish. Things like that. But he always helps them understand. We jump into the sea.
The next morning I walk towards Chelan's room. I knock on the wall. Chelan looks up. "Hey Chelan, I'm sorry about yesterday" "no, I should be sorry, it was a low blow" he says apologetically. I nod. "Maybe a bit, but I overreacted." I notice he's looking at a map. "What are you looking at?" I ask. "I want to find out where the ship must have gone." "To the port in Piraeus. Not far from Athens. Most ships are going there." "How can you be so sure." I smirk. "He was singing Greek dumbass." He smiles. I want to walk away when I realize his plans. "No no no, I will not go with you. It's dangerous, you don't speak the language and I won't risk your life because your heart can't control itself. So the answer is no and never. It's out of the question!!" He smirks "okay I'll ask Neptune than." "No don't you dare involve him in these shenanigans! I forbid it!! Don't ruin his innocence." "What will you ask me" Neptune asks. "Nothing" I look at Chelan with murder on my mind. "Will you go to Greece with me" "you will not!" I scream "that seems cool" "no Neptune we're not going" "you're not his father" Chelan says with an evil laugh. "I will not let this happen" "well I'm going" Neptune says.
A few moments later we're swimming towards Greece. I'm carrying a bag with money and clothes. I'm in a very bad mood. Neptune and Chelan are very very hyper and I can't stand them at the moment, they always pull me into their problems. While I'm one of the least responsible people in the whole sea. "This is fun right" Chelan teasingly says. I groan. "Idiots, I'll get you for this!" "You won't" Neptune says. I roll my eyes. These children don't know how to live. Maybe this is the time to teach them.
