The wind howled, the sky darkened. I flew through the storm, the rain pounding on my small wings. My flock followed behind me. Thunder echoed through and lighting struck down from the clouds. My comrade cooed from behind me, implying we needed to land; I agreed. I began to dive toward the ground, when light flashed in my eye and my wing seared with pain. I began to drop, falling down until I met the cold earth below.
