Our mouths dropped when she said she had a job before i went up to her a hugged her

After i let go i looked back at the boys and smiled

"Say congratulations"

I told them and they didn't. They all just stood there like idiots

"You applied for a job?"

Milo asked her

"yes! i have to pay my way here. i cant live here for free. i have to contribute somehow"

she said it as If it were obvious

"oh trins, you don't have to- is this about your papa?"

Ryan asked and she hesitated for a moment before shaking her head.

what went on with her dad

"No. i just want to do this, I love animals and I've always wanted to work with them. I'm not giving this up"

she said with conviction and the guys nodded, leaving it there as Liam finished off the food

eventually, we all sat down at the table, Trinette took a seat in between Oliver and James

"I'm so proud of you trinny"

I announced, I hadn't congratulated her yet and thought it was the right time. the food was spot on too though, I can thank Liam for that

I noticed my friend's hands on trinette's thighs when I dropped my fork and sighed

I'm happy for trinny, but she doesn't realise how dangerous they actually are. how hurt she could get

"She says shes inviting us round on the weekend for dinner. all our parents will be there"

He explained. 

"I asked if we could bring along a friend and she said of course. i explained about our little trinket and she said she'd love to meet you"

He smiled to trinette and I almost threw up at the sweet nickname

ugh, why can I never love anyone? they all end up toxic.

"Oh...are you sure? i wouldn't want to intrude"

trinette said shyly and Milo nodded

"I know its a bit quick. everything is happening so fast right now. but my mamma can be a very insistent lady. once she has decided that shes meeting someone she will do anything in her power to meet that person"
