I held Aisleys hand as we walked into my brothers house

"Lonnie!"

James smiled to me and i nodded to him, biting my lip out of anxiousness

"They should be here in a few minutes. It'll be okay"

My brother comforted me and i nodded, appreciating it

"Come on L, it'll be fine"

Aisley tried to comfort. But i could tell she was anxious too

Shes not out at all. Im her first

Just as we sat in the living room, the door opened with my parents

"Mamma! Papa!"

I smiled as i went and hugged them, kissing them on both cheeks before going back and sitting down, Aisley pulled me onto her lap and i smiled, blushing a little as my parents looked

"Who is this girl"

Mamma asked and i sighed

"In english. Shes american"

I sighed and they changed their tone

My being gay always made them a little uncomfortable. They weren't used to it. They weren't ready for it. But they do understand

But when you get heavily abused and assaulted by a man, you become fearful of them all

It took me a long while to get used to my brithers friends again

So they fully understand, its just new to them

"Who is this?"

My mamma asked again in english

"My name is aisley"

My wife answered for me and i smiled

My papa smiled and she nodded

"So why are you here"

Mamma asked her as her hands were wrapped aroudn my waist and i was sat on her lap

"She's my fiancée"

I blurted before covering my mouth

My parents looked at me in shock as everyone around us held their breaths, ready for the storm that may come raining down on them

"Oh"

Was all my mamma said and my heart shattered in that moment

"Well. When is the wedding"

She asked

"We haven't quite worked out the details yet, but it'll be soon. We are thinking in the next week or so"
