Okay! First of all, thank you for reading this book!

Second, before we get into the 'how' of lucid dreaming, let's define exactly what it is. Lucid dreaming is literally what the words describe: being lucid(awake) during a dream.

No, I don't mean actually awake. The dreamer- who I will refer to as 'you' in this book(since I assume you are reading for yourself)- becomes aware that what they are experiencing is a dream. Yes, this is different from both shifting/astral projecting/OOBE's/or just daydreaming. This is waking up in a dream world made up of purely your own thought, where anything and everything can be your reality. (Reality as in what you perceive during the dream, not permanently.)

Lucid dreaming is not a one-step process as much as the media wants it to be. You have to be willing to change your world without doubt. Otherwise, you simply watch your dreams pass by. You have to be able to control your thoughts to the point that when experiencing a dream, you can think "oh wait, this is a dream" and then have the will to change what's going on.

I hope this helped explain some points, thanks for reading!
