You were standing in your room, looking at yourself in the mirror. You were disgusted with what you saw before you. Your masculine face, your facial hair, your masculine body... you were male.. and you hated that. All you ever wanted was to be a woman.

Your hair was already long. But you wanted more. Like big boobs, curvy hips, and a higher pitched voice. You felt trapped in a body that wasn't yours.

When you told your parents of your feelings about yourself, they threw you out. So you got a place of your own... at the age of 17.

3 years later, here you are. You've pursued your dreams of becoming a fashion designer, but you never had the courage to come out of your closet. Your figurative closet.

Tears slowly filled your eyes until you heard a knock at your window. "Come in," your voice was shaky and raspy.

"Hey, man. You okay? Haven't seen ya in a while," Leo spoke as he climbed in the window of your apartment. You've been in love with Leo since you met him. He's also your best friend.

You wiped the tears from your eyes, an forced a smile. "Yeah, I'm alright."

Leo wasn't buying the façade. He pouted his lips and crossed his arms. "You sure? Cuz' it seems like it's the opposite."

Once again, tears filled your eyes. You felt frustrated and overwhelmed. "I'm trans, Leo!" You yelled, gasping and covering your mouth with your hands.

He stood there staring at you, processing the words that just came out of your mouth. "I... I kind of always knew," he smiled softly, slowly walking towards you.

You looked up at him, giving him the expression he gave you just moments ago. "W-What?" you stuttered.

"Yeah, y/n. I knew. I wanted you to tell me on your own time.. that way I'd be more comfortable telling you.. that.. I like you. Like like you. I know I'll like you when.. or if you transition." Leo's words fixed the brokenness inside of you.

"I've wanted to tell you for so long, Leo. But these scenarios in my head just torn my confidence asunder. I didn't want you to think of me as a freak.. like my parents did." You said, tear after tear making it's way down your face.

"Y/n, I want you to know. Me, Donnie and Mikey are all part of the LGBTQ+ community. Raph is straight, but he accepts us. He'll accept you, like the rest of us."

You thought for a moment. Wiping your tear-stained cheeks. "Why haven't you ever told me this, Leo?"

"We just thought you already knew. I mean, Mikey's pretty obvious. He's pansexual, and he simps for every beautiful person he sees."

You giggled. "What about Donnie?"

"Donnie's bisexual. He's harder to read, but he never told you because he thought you knew," he said.

"And Raph?" you ask. "He's straight, but he accepts us all."

"And you?"

"I'm gay. Which is why I like you. And if you transition, my feelings for you won't change."

You hugged him tightly. Tears falling down your face once again. Your heart felt full. He returned the hug, and gently moved your chin to look at him.

"I don't think of you any differently, y/n. I'm glad you told me, whether it was on purpose or not." Leo kissed your head gently.

"I like you too, Leo. I have since I met you." Admitting all of this lifted so much weight off of your shoulders. You felt like you could finally breathe.

"Now c'mon. Let's go watch a movie." Leo took your hand and guided you to the living room. He planted a soft kiss on your lips before sitting down on the couch.

"What movie do you wanna watch?" He asks.

You shrug your shoulders. "Jupiter Jim is okay with me."

He turns on the movie and snuggles you close. "You're my girlfriend, now. I hope you know that," he whispers.

Leo calling you his girlfriend is nothing but music to your ears.

"I think I'm gonna to start my transition journey," you whisper to him, looking for a reaction.

He looks down at you and smiles. "Then I'll be there every step of the way."

7 years later...

You're a full woman now. You've had top surgery, you've been on estrogen for 6 1/2 years, and you're thinking about getting bottom surgery.

You and Leo have been dating since the night you came out. Mikey, Donnie, and Raph accept you for who you really are.

Leo is the most supportive boyfriend you've ever had. In fact, he's the only boyfriend you've ever had. But that just makes you love him even more.

"Hey, mi amor... you look sensacional," Leo says with a sly smirk on his face.

"I'm just in pajamas, Leon," you sass at him.

"Hey, I know, I know. Am I not allowed to compliment mi novia?" You roll your eyes at him. He skips over and gives you a smooch on your lips, before winking and walking away.

"You're such a tease, Leonardo!" You yell.

"I know, that's why you love me!"
