Link stirred the rice in his pan as he finished preparing his meal. The fire was crackling, and a group of adventures arrived on horseback, asking for a stable and a meal.

The hostess asked for their rupees, as they began to stretch and prepare their own meals as well. Link lifted his eyes the moment he heard them speak.

"Another day wasted... you don't suppose he tricked us?"

She answered the man and said, "He gave us nearly 500 ruppees! Who on earth would do that if it was fake?"

He prepared the rabbit meat and brought a pot to the fire where Link was cooking.
"Excuse me, young man. Do you have sea salt? I don't think I brought any."

Link nodded and handed him a rag with some salt crystals.

The woman nearby said, "Besides, Argen...doesn't that make things more exciting? That's the essence of adventuring. The unknown!" And she handed him some vegetables for the stew. Link pulled his pan off the flame and nodded towards the fire pit for the two adventurers to use, still listening as they talked.

Argen answered, "We've been at this for weeks. It's all hearsay, now. Nothing but dead ends. That's all I'm saying. I'm not saying we should quit, Lydia. It's just a lot harder than I imagined, finding a fairy fountain."

Link perked his ears.

Lydia added some wood to the fire and said, "Leon found a fairy, and there's honestly a solid lead that tells us there's a fairy fountain somewhere in Faron Woods."

"Fairies? You can find them everywhere. I used to sell lightning bugs in painted jars to the kids in my class for 5 rupees each. Fairy fountains? That's a bit harder to believe."

"Master Ogden wants us to find one because he never saw one with his own eyes."

"No one has," he rolled his eyes.

"But he paid us because like he said, 'They all come from somewhere'. I don't think you're that cynical."

He added some meat to the pot with his knife. "After 20 years of exploring Hyrule, Lydia, I've seen many things that made me doubt that magic would still be around."

Link chuckled as he finished his meal.

Lydia shook her head. "You're nothing but a jaded old man now, huh? There's so many myths that exist in Hyrule...I find it impossible that most of them are fake. What about the Zora?"

Link listened again and raised an eyebrow.

"What about the Zora?" said Leon, as he sat down next to Link. "Smells great! Oh and...Uh....They charged us 45 each by the way. And 30 for each horse. We're bleeding rupees."

Lydia complained, "Argen doesn't believe the Great Fairy is real. He thinks it's a wild cucco chase."

"I didn't say that," he chuckled, "We've been at it for weeks and found nothing."

Leon leaned back and scratched his chin. "I thought you were talking about the Zora."

Argen said, "Well we aren't looking for the Zora, we're looking for the fairy fountain. If this was about the Zora, this would be a very different conversation."

Lydia joked, "Fish people you believe in but not The Mother of All of Fairies?"

Link chuckled dryly.

"Look, you never lived by the Great Sea or the Hylia River. I lived in a cabin right on the estuary. My father and his father are both fishermen, mind you, and they both agree: there's something down there."
Argen tasted the stew and added a few more crystals. "Stew's almost done."
