Chapter XXXIII - The righteous men depart, but their light remains

"So, are you just gonna stand here and watch them like a pitiful, idiotic man who can't even control his girlfriend?"

Sa gilid ng mga mata ni Jiho ay nakita n'yang tumabi sa kanya ang kapatid na si Sujin. Hindi n'ya alam kung kailan ito nakarating at kung bakit naroon ito. Basta na lang sumulpot ang dalaga sa kanyang tabi. He had just arrived in front of Florentine Coffee Shop and witnessing how Jiwon gave a warm hug to Kit Buendoza had him flabbergasted. The two were standing at the front porch of the shop, saying goodbyes to each other like they were so close... like lovers. Obviously, Jiho got enraged. Kasama n'yang tumawid ng kalsada ang kapatid at tinawag ang nobya. "Jiwon!"

Sujin also did the same with the man she liked. "Hey, Mr. Buendoza!"

Bahagyang ikinagulat ni Jiwon ang hindi inaasahang presensya ng magkapatid sa lugar na iyon. Wala s'yang ideya kung paano nalaman ni Jiho kung nasaan s'ya. She glanced at them and noticed how the two were sharing the same facial expression. Clearly, they both look furious bulls, ready to attack their preys. And speaking of preys, she and Kit were the preys.

"What are you two doing behind our backs?!" mapanghusgang tanong ni Sujin. Her half-moon eyes were like blazing with fire. One could assume that she was Kit's girlfriend.

He scoffed and said, "Ako talaga? Hindi ba dapat ikaw ang tanungin ko? Bakit kasama mo 'yung lalaking 'yun?" He sure sounded like a jealous boyfriend.

Napabuntong hininga ang dalaga. She had no time to quarrel with him. "Excuse me? Kung mayroon mang dapat magpaliwanag ngayon, clearly it's you. Hindi ka sumipot sa dinner namin ni Papa. You didn't even answer my calls. I have no freaking idea last night... kung nasaan ka." Yes, she finally burst like an overinflated balloon. But seeing the guilty look in his eyes, she shouldn't be expecting a heartfelt and apologetic explanation from him. Jokes on her for opening that topic. "Nevermind," she muttered.

She started the engine and added, "Get out of my car."
