he likes to think a certain red headed bitch made him a better person. someone who was more bearable to be around. and this improvement didn't come because of his own willingness to change.
it came because andi marsh needed someone to be there for her. she needed the older figure in her life to rely on. she needed someone to fight for her. and maybe jefferson couldn't fight for himself, but he could sure as hell make sure andi's fire didn't get put out by the hellhole that is derry.
he might not be anywhere close to a half decent person, but he's hopefully a little better than before. he hopes that with her help, he can break a cycle of abuse and allow himself to care for someone. allow himself to be vulnerable. not for his sake but for the sake of his sister.
