I finished my dinner alone. Mom and Dad didn't join me because they excused themselves saying that they have some important things to do. Naglalakad na 'ko paakyat ng kwarto ng maaninag ko si Dad na nasa labas ng garden. Tutuloy na sana ako ng makuha ng sinabi niya ang atensyon ko.
"Good, make sure that they didn't notice him. I'll make sure to make them pay for what they did.." he said. Naglakad ako papalapit sa pintuang bahagyang nakabukas at mas dumikit.
Medyo nanibago ako dahil sobrang tapang at seryoso ng salitang binibitawan nito sa kausap. Kinabahan ako dahil doon, I'm not sure if he's pertaining to the three of them but what if he is?
Sumilip pa 'ko at nakita itong madilim ang mata habang hawak-hawak ang phone sa kamay. He's clenching his jaw while listening to the person on the other line.
"I don't care. I'll hunt them down. Peste talaga sila dati pa, I don't know what's their reason for showing up but I'll make sure that they will never get closer to my daughter. I won't let them!" He angrily shouted and shut his phone. Humugot ito ng malalim na hininga bago maglakad papasok.
Now, I'm sure that he's pertaining to the three man I love.
Hindi agad ako nakagalaw kaya agad niya 'kong nakita hindi kalayuan sa kaniya. His creased forehead faded, lumamlam ang mata nito ng tumingin sa'kin at maglakad papalapit.
When he got in front of me, he touched my shoulders. "Kanina ka pa d'yan anak?"
Hindi ako nakasagot kaya alam kong alam niya ng narinig ko ang pinagsasabi niya kanina. He sighed and smiled a little at me. "Don't mind what you heard, Kizeah hmm? Go to your room and sleep, it's getting late."
"They did nothing wrong to me, Dad." I suddenly said.
Nakita ko ang pag-iiba ng mata niya dahil sa sinabi ko. Nabakas ko ang inis doon pero alam kong pinipigilan niya 'to.
They really did nothing. Inalagaan pa nga ako.
"You don't understand, anak. Just.. just let me handle this."
I shook my head. "You're not going to handle anything. I know that you're talking about them, the Castro Brothers right? Wala silang ginawa sa'king masama Dad, actually they even cared and treated me well!"
His forehead creased. "I don't care. I don't want them to come near you again, ever again.."
Humugot ako ng malalim na hininga't hindi makapaniwalang tumingin sa kaniya. "Para ba talaga sa'kin Dad? Or may iba kang galit sa kanila?" I suddenly asked.
Nakita ko ang pag-igting ng panga niya sa sunabi ko. Napaatras ako ng umabante siya papalapit at tinignan ako ng mariin sa mata. "You don't know anything! I'm doing this for you!"
"I didn't ask anything from you Dad! And what? Ikukulong mo 'ko rito sa bahay? For God's sake! I'm already a grown up! I can even get marry if I want! You can't protect me by locking me up here!"
Hindi niya naman ako kailangang protektahan dahil una palang, alam kong hindi nila 'ko sasaktan! Natatakot siya sa wala!
"Kung anong tama, gagawin ko. Sumunod ka sa'kin dahil sa buong buhay mo, ngayon lang ako hihingi ng pabor sa'yo Kizeah.. Go to your room, I have something to do." He said with finality and walked away. Sinundan ko siya ng tingin at napakagat ba lamang sa labi dahil hindi ko na siya maintindihan pa. He's being weird and overprotective or maybe he's not? I know that he's hiding something.
Nawala na siya sa paningin ko. Humugot ako ng malalim na hininga't pumikit upang pakalmahin ang sarili.
"Calm down.."
I was startled when someone whispered to my ears. A very familiar voice. Inangat ko ang tingin at halos mapigti ang hininga ng magtagpo ang mga mata namin.
"Lucian?" Gulat kong tawag rito. "W-What.. What are you doing here?"
He placed his finger on my lips. "Shh.. lower your voice. I'll explain later, let's go."
Tumango na lamang ako sa kaniya habang nakaawang ang labi at hindi pa rin makapaniwalang nasa harapan ko siya. He's wearing a black polo and pants, may maliit rin na earbuds na nakalagay sa kanan niyang tainga.
He guided me up, nakita ko ang naglalakad na lalaki sa baba na kapareho niya ng suot. The guy called him that made us stopped.
"Sa'n ka pupunta? Sa labas ang duty mo." Madiin na saad nito habang nakatingala sa'min.
Now I get it. I know why he's wearing that kind of clothes. Bago pa man siya makapagsalita ay inunahan ko na ito.
I faced the guy, which is one of my bodyguards. "I requested him to follow me, may iuutos ako sa kaniya." I said.
Tila nag-alinlangan pa ito kung papayag or maniniwala pero kaunan naman ay tumango. "I understand Ma'am," he said before walking away.
Dumiretso kami sa kwarto. He made sure to lock the door, mahirap na't baka makita siya ni Dad. He'll be dead for sure.
"What's happening huh? And why are you here? Baka makita ka ni Dad!" I exclaimed.
He shook his head. "Don't worry about it.." he paused for a moment and looked at me, he then sighed. "How are you? Ayos ka lang ba dito?"
"Of course I am Lucian.. This is my house, I'm with my family. There's no reason not to be safe here.." I explained.
Nagulat ako ng bahagyang tumaas ang boses nito. "They're not y—"
He seems to noticed my reaction he sighed for the nth time. "Nevermind, by the way babe, your period was four weeks late already. Are you pregnant?"
I was caught off guard when he suddenly asked it. Natuhan ako at napataas ang kilay dahil sa kaniyang sinabi.
"And how did you know about my period mister?"
"Binabantayan ko. Just to make sure that tummy of yours would have our babies already.." he playfully smiled and suddenly reached for my lips to gave me a smack.
Nanlaki ang mata ko't napahampas sa kaniya. "Lucian!"
He licked his lip. "Damn babe.. my name sounds so fucking hot when you call me. But babe, tell me please? We're a sharpshooter, just confirm to me that you're pregnant.."
I sighed and slowly nodded my head. Tinignan ko siya gamit ang malamlam na titig at ngumiti.
"Yes I am.."
