Chapter 2 The Gathering

A/N: I am back after some nice sleep a now I can make this longer because I have all day.

Félix bolted to the field where he knew his wife would be watering the crops. As he rounded a corner there she was. Pepa was born second with her hermana Julieta being born a few minutes before her and her hermano Bruno being born a few minutes after her. She had fair skin with red hair. She was teased for being so different but Félix saw her as unique. He stood there for a few seconds to watch his beautiful wife at work. Finally Félix snapped out of it and walked up to her. She had a look of extreme concentration plastered on her face. There was a small cloud above her head. 

She must have heard his or maybe got the feeling someone was approaching her. Right as he reached her she jumped up and turned around so abruptly Félix jumped. "Oh, hola mi amor. What brings you by right now?" Pepa now had a rainbow above her head. "I came to get you. Something happened at Casita and I think it best if we gather the family." Félix tried to say in a way as to not make his wife nervous or anxious. Short answer, it didn't work. The winds suddenly picked up as he spoke. Pepa started rapid firing questions. "Is someone hurt? Is something wrong with the magic again? Is one of my babies hurt? Are one of my sobrina's hurt?Are my hermana and hermano ok?"

A/N(excuse my Spanish. I only speak enough to get around town with business. That's why I went to Spain. The only language that is not English that I can speak with some fluently is French. And that is why I went to France for a month. Anyway yeah sorry. I will work on my Spanish.) 

A small tornado had now enveloped her as she started rapidly stroking her long braid. "Pepí, Pepí, mi vida, everyone is fine. Casita's fine, no one is hurt. Please don't worry." he said in a loving tone making Pepa calm down instantly. "Sorry Félix, I am just really on edge today for some reason." Pepa look toward the ground in shame. "No no no mi amor don't apologize. Those were all very valid questions to ask." He smiled then continued what he was saying. "I came to get you and ask if you knew where some people are today? I know where Antonio is, but everyone else moves around the village so much I would have to search through the whole village to gather them. Any ideas as far as a general direction?" he asked.

"Sure. And I will get Antonio so don't worry about that. So lets see, around now Camilo should be at Osvaldo's place helping put a few things on high selves. I bet Mirabel is in the square, Mama is probably with her. Isabela is at her friends house." Félix interrupted her. "Wow how do you know that she never tells anyone else where she goes." "Darling I know these things. No but seriously I can see her friends house from here and I saw Isa go inside." "Too smart I tell you." Félix said. "Oh and Dolores is probably at the cafe." Pepa added. "Thank you mi vida. I will meet back with everyone in a little bit. Love you" Félix started to walk toward the village. "Love you too" Pepa shouted to him. 

Félix Finally made it down to the village and entered the cafe. "I heard you coming. I know where the rest are papa." Dolores smiled at Félix as soon as he walked in. "Can you get Agustíne, Bruno and Luisa and bring them to Casita por favor?" Dolores nodded and walk out to find her prima and tio's. Félix continued to Osvaldo's to get Camilo. "Hey Félix"Osvaldo shouted from the side of his shop. "What brings you by today?" Félix smiled "Well my dear friend Camilo is what brings me by today." Both men burst into laughter at the funny tone Félix used. "He is right over here, CAMILO YOUR PA IS HERE TO PICK YOU UP!" "What!" Camilo said in surprise.

 "Your not suppose to be here I thought you had other things to do?" Camilo said with a slight tone of disgust in his voice. It was usually bad when his Papa picked him up in the middle of the day. "What are you not happy to quit your chores early today?" Félix asked as he raised an eyebrow. "Not when you come and pick me up. When you pick me up I t usually means something bad happened or I am in trouble. So what happened now?" Camilo look a little concerned probably due to the fact that  he might be in trouble, but he had now idea what they found. He had done to many things to count. So what had his parents found. "You are not in trouble. But I do need you to go back to the casa. Your Tia Julieta should be there waiting for you" "Ok but one question, why?" Camilo still looked concerned. "I will  explain it once everyone is there."

Félix ran to the square next to get Mirabel and Alma. He saw them talking away on some benches taking a nice break from constantly answering questions. Just then someone with a ginormous basket fun of things came around a corner. Not seeing Félix them almost ran into him. Félix finally started to head towards Mirabel and Alma. As he approached them they looked up. "Oh! Tio Félix, glad to see you out in the village today. Come join us for a while." Mirabel said with a big smile on her face. 

"I would love to sit and talk for a while but there are a few more pressing matters that I need your help for." "What's wrong Félix?" Alma looked very concerned. "I will explain later. If you two wouldn't mind heading back to Casita that would be great." "Sure thing Tio." With that Mirabel jumped up from her seat. She helped her Abuela stand up and they started walking up to Casita. "Now for Isabela" Félix mumbled to himself. 

He made his way over to Isabela's friends house and knocked on the door. "Who is it?" A voice called. "Sorry to bother you today, this is Félix Madrigal I was wondering if Isabela was with you?" He said politely. "She is here. Come on inside doors unlocked." Félix stepped into the living room where two girls sat down with some tea. Probably spilling some tea too. "Sorry to intrude but Isabela needs to come back to Casita. Something very important has come up."

A/N: ( lol I can't believe he said a pickle was very important.)

Isabela stood up and hugged her friend goodbye. Félix's and Isabela started to walk up the hill just in time to see Dolores pulling Bruno up the hill with Agustíne covered in bee stings. "I don't care if you don't want to come back yet this is an emergency." Dolores said while struggling to keep hold of Bruno's ruana as he tried to get away. "Need any help there mija?" Félix almost laughed at the seen unfolding before him. "Si por favor." Dolores said clearly annoyed but her Tio's behavior. Félix walked over to them and picked Bruno up. "Hey put me down" Bruno squeaked. "No, you aren't getting out of this one amigo." Félix walked with Bruno into the courtyard. Everyone was already gathered around the table. 

"Agustíne Dios mio what did you do now?! Julieta was not happy that he husband had been stung by bees again. "This is the forth time this week." Julieta scolded him. (Weeks start on Monday in this culture I think. Correct me if I am wrong.) "I am so sorry mi amor. Dolores came to me, she sounded a little panicked so I dropped my axe and started to run after her. We ran under a tree. Or... she ran under the tree. I ran into a bee hive. And that is how we got here." Agustíne explained in a hurry. "It's find just... next time maybe watch where you are going a little more por favor. I don't like seeing you hurt amor." They shared a kick kiss. "Can you guys get over here por favor? I want to know why we are all here." Camilo said as though he were bored to death. "How very unromantic you are Camilo Madrigal." Dolores scoffed. "Por favor calm down you two" Pepa said. Julieta got the food and made Agustíne eat it. They returned to the table in the middle of courtyard. "This is why you are here." Félix said. "This mysterious object appeared out of nowhere today." 

A/N And that is where I will leave it. That took shorter than I expected so I might write another chapter later today. Hope you have a great day or night. Also I will start adding a word count.
