Walking into court, with her children and in laws, her husband and brother in law were acquitted of the murder of Emmett Till.

They laughed, smoked cigars , drank soda pop, and had picnic baskets. They weren't taking the Till murder serious,
They were knowing that they weren't gonna be charged because they were white and probably done the same thing to another colored boy and gotten away with it , the trial being 67 minutes , the trial wasn't so fair. It was showing their true racist colors of their southern pride .
