Dazai x Reader

"What kind of bribery is this?"  My confusion and interest was piqued.  A beautifully wrapped gift sat on my desk just screaming to be opened.  Though after years of having a job such as this one (and being around someone like Dazai constantly) I was suspicious of the intent. 
    
"It's a present!  Open it and see what's inside," the suddenly hyper brunette urged.  That only made me doubt its sincerity even more.  Dazai wasn't the type to just leave genuine gifts around on anyone's desk but a small part of me wanted to take a guess why this one was here.  I turned to him, my confusion clear on my face.  He only shoved my shoulder eagerly in the direction of the (possible trap) gift. 
    
Dazai didn't have anything against me like he did for Kunikida, so he would've saved something especially malicious for him which crossed out this being a horrible prank.  My curiosity eventually got the best of me as I picked the small box up in my hands.  It had a slight heft to it which scratched out my theory of it just being empty.  The ribbon was a deep blue and shimmered as I pulled it off.  Dazai was practically breathing on me as he leaned over my shoulder, his hair grazing my cheek as I lifted the top off. 
    
"Dazai..." the name barely left my lips.  The lid of the box fell to the floor with a muffled thump.  Every nerve in my body flared as my brain tried to comprehend what this could mean.  There was movement by my side as arms wrapped around my chest. 
    
The room seemed to spin as I leaned back into Dazai's body, a goofy smile probably spread wide on my face.  He gently lifted the necklace from its place in the box.  Its oval charm matched colors with his own turquoise pendant.  This could only mean one thing. 
    
"I think it's about time, don't you agree?" he whispered in my ear.  I did agree actually.  We had talked about it before, our mutual romantic feelings but it unfortunately hadn't exactly been the right time to make it serious.  We both settled on waiting a few months till everything around us calmed down so we could properly focus on a relationship.  Even though it's only been a couple weeks I felt I couldn't wait any longer and now I see that Dazai felt just as impatient.  If anything, in those weeks of waiting my feelings only seemed to grow. 
    
"Will you be my official boyfriend?" he questioned pleadingly.  I might've chuckled against my better judgement but the question seemed like a silly thing to ask after everything that's happened between us.  My hand reached behind me to run through his hair, pulling him closer.  My face tilted up to his as our eyes locked. 
    
"You, my good sir, have excellent taste," and with that I kissed him.  Dazai was surprisingly gentle as he held me delicately in his arms.  The kiss was sweet and full of weeks worth of careful longing.  I pulled away first, now definitely wearing a goofy smile.  My new lover had his own giddy expression that lured out a laugh from me.  Dazai spun me toward him and rested his forehead against mine. 
    
"I have another surprise," he smiled at me.  I don't think my heart can take another gift from him but I nodded for him to continue.  His hand grabbed mine firmly as he pulled me towards the office door in a daze. 
    
"Wait, where are you taking me?" I laughed out.  He didn't respond as we nearly tumbled down the stairs in a rush.  Before I knew it we were running down the street to some unknown location.

The sun was setting lower in the sky giving way to night in about an hour.  There wasn't too much we could do before the sun fully set, was there?  Dazai took a sharp turn making me almost trip in the process as I tried to figure out where we were.  The ocean glittered to my left, a welcoming view that fit my joyous mood. 
    
"Dazai, where are we going?"  He looked over his shoulder to smile at me, his eyes bright in the setting sun's light. 
    
"We're almost there, I promise," he cheerily replied.  His hand squeezed mine reassuringly, our pace starting to slow to a casual stroll.  It was a blissful moment, our fingers interlaced and matching pendants to remind me that there would be more moments like this in the future, our future.
