Hurrying on my way, I checked my phone again to find no new text messages. The bag in my hand swung with each step I took, the items inside clattering unpleasantly. I desperately hoped the items wouldn't break. I wouldn't turn around to go back and buy more medicine, this stuff was already expensive enough without me accidentally breaking it or damaging it in any way.

The whole situation had me a bit stressed out and not thinking clearly as I carefully ascended the stairs towards my destination. It wasn't my fault that Dazai had gotten sick but I somehow still felt responsible for taking care of him when he was under the weather. In all honesty, a part of me enjoyed being the person that Dazai turned to when he needed someone there for him.

A smile twisted at my lips as I knocked on the door once before sliding his spare key into the lock and letting myself inside. The air smelled of subtle lavender from the candle I had lit to hopefully ease his mind. Carefully shutting the door in case he was asleep, I quietly moved through the apartment to find him lounging on his bed with wide eyes and a soft smile. My heartbeat picked up at the sight of his flushed face and tousled hair.

"I missed you," he croaked out, voice raspy with sickness. Chuckling to myself, I stepped closer to him as I looked through my bag to find the medication I had bought for his sore throat. When I pulled it out to show to him he immediately cringed away with a look of distaste. I rolled my eyes at his childishness as I sat on the edge of his bed, placing the bag on his nightstand.

"I wasn't gone that long. And you're also taking the medicine, I don't care if you don't want to. I'm clearly not your mother so you have to do it yourself," I sighed, spinning the cap of the bottle. He let out a groan of annoyance before sitting up groggily to reach for the container. He tilted a bit, his body leaning on mine when he tried to grab the medicine. I could practically feel his smirk against my shoulder as he tilted his face to look at me with those wide dark eyes of his.

"Clearly not. You're too handsome to be my mother. Though I wouldn't mind if you fed it to me instead," he rasped out quietly. I rolled my eyes yet again, handing him the bottle that he now refused to take. I should've expected him to act like this but I still waited a few moments in a bit of a daze before one of my hands moved to gently grab his chin.

The action made Dazai's sick blush turn bright red as I tilted his face up, the medicine in my other hand moving to put the container to his lips. He didn't seem to be processing anything at the moment, too dumbstruck and flustered to do anything more than stare at me. Leaning in to flash him my own smirk, he tensed up instantly in anticipation.

"Just a sip alright. Don't take too much," I whispered, knowing he'd take my words all the wrong way. His eyes practically shimmered as he took the medicine quickly and easily. Pulling away the bottle with a chuckle, I set it to the side before patting Dazai's head appreciatively. He leaned into my touch, flashing me a victorious smile.

It was clear then that a rush of dizziness washed through him as he shut his eyes quickly, tilting a bit. I sighed in disappointment at the sight that he wasn't getting much better yet. My hand rested against his chest, urging him to lay back and rest to which he thankfully did without any complaining.

"Why is the room spinning? I thought I'd be better today with all the care you've been giving me," Dazai groaned pitifully, his hand coming up to lay across his face dramatically. I pulled his blanket back over his body, also feeling bad that he wasn't better yet. Hopefully the medicine would help though, he'd be back on his feet in no time. For now, I gave him a small smile, watching him intently for any sign of discomfort that I could actually fix.

"Perhaps I'll go and let you nap. Sleeping will be the best thing for you and I don't want to keep you up too long," I offered, standing up to turn off the light before I was instantly yanked back by my hand. I let out a surprised gasp as Dazai wrapped his arms around me needily, his face pushing against my neck. I knew he was clingy but this was a bit much and I wasn't sure if it was fueled by his sickness or not.

"Please stay. I don't want you to leave," he mumbled against my skin, holding me tighter as if I'd escape him otherwise. Smiling to myself at his need for attention and care from me, I lifted my hand to pat his arm reassuringly. If he didn't want me to leave then I wouldn't. If I've learned anything from the past few days it was that I enjoyed Dazai's desire for me.

"Let me turn off the light real quick and then we'll nap together. Don't worry Dazai, I'm not leaving anytime soon if you don't want me to," I whispered back. A moment passed before he let go of me. Quickly, I got up to turn off the light before crawling back into his bed. He lifted the blanket for me to burrow under with him, the gesture causing me to chuckle again.

When I was finally with him, he immediately pulled me to him in a needy cuddle that I wouldn't be able to escape from if I tried. It wasn't like I'd try anyways with the way Dazai was staring at me lovingly. My hand came up to gently brush over his face, his smile widening when I urged his eyes to close. I placed a final gentle kiss on his forehead before I felt him sigh once, his breathing becoming slow and deep as sleep overtook him.
