———I should've known when I started going out with Tetchou what that would entail. Never would I have imagined how clingy he was though, his constant need for attention evident in every longing glance he sent my way. He would practically wag an invisible tail in anticipation whenever I was around and even though I loved it, I also realized that this meant there was no escape from him.
My phone buzzed for what must've been the thirtieth time in the past five minutes. The poor guy just couldn't handle being by himself anymore, or at least not without me. At this point I was starting to feel more like his mother rather than his boyfriend. A sigh slid past my lips, my breath curling in the cold air of the street. He was just going to have to handle himself for a few more minutes.
"Jesus fuck, calm down," I muttered to myself, whipping my phone out of my pocket to scroll through his messages for the off chance that a real emergency was occurring. I was correct in my assumptions though that he was only craving attention as I rolled my eyes. His texts were full of sad emojis that I already told him never to use with me and concerned interrogations of where I was and when I was coming home.
After sending him back a single text saying I'd be there in less than ten minutes, I slipped my phone back in my pocket and proceeded to ignore the rumble of the vibration against my leg. This was starting to get ridiculous, a conversation about his clingy behavior long overdue. I love him of course but god I was going to need space soon if he kept this up. No sane person would be able to handle this nonsense for as long as I have.
When I stood outside our shared apartment, I felt my phone buzz again. Letting out a sigh, I turned the knob and let myself in. I had barely shut the door behind me when I saw Tetchou rounding the corner, his eyes widening once he saw me. He instantly scurried forward, his arms latching onto me eagerly with the force of a train barreling into me.
"Where were you? Why were you so late? Are you hurt? I missed you, y/n," Tetchou pouted, his hold tightening around me till I could barely breathe. Despite the slight annoyance on my face, my heart warmed at his adorable frown and wide eyes full of shimmering beauty. He truly was a sight to see, dark lashes and tousled hair. I knew I was lucky to have him with me even if some changes needed to be made for my sanity.
"I missed you too, handsome, but we need to talk," I smiled softly at him. He pulled away slightly to stare at me. It was clear that he was trying to figure out if this was going to be a good talk or bad, his lips eventually pulling into a nervous grin that made him look too vulnerable. He was supposed to be strong and unstoppable, a swordsman to rival even the most dangerous of men. Now he looked more like a lovesick puppy worried about being scolded.
"Don't look so scared, handsome. If it makes you feel better, there'll be cuddles involved," I cooed softly, his expression immediately brightening. He took my hand in anticipation, guiding me to our bedroom without any protest. At least it seemed there wouldn't be much complaint at the beginning. He seemed eager enough for cuddles that he didn't realize that he wasn't going to like what I had to say.
It didn't take long till we were situated on the bed, the covers pulled up to our waists with my arms around his hips, his own hands pressed against my chest. Somehow I found myself with the desperate urge to kiss him senseless. There must've been some sort of bewitching ritual he was doing with his alluring eyes that made me want to skip our conversation and trap him with my lips.
"I'm going straight to the point here because I know you're not going to like it. You've been extra clingy lately and it's starting to drive me a little crazy. Is there something wrong that makes you want to stick to me more? I'll try to help but the whole texting me every minute is starting to get a little ridiculous," I stated gently, my hand moving to run my fingers through his hair lovingly. If he was capable of purring he probably would've with the way he shut his eyes in bliss, moving his head closer to me.
"I've been doing a lot of thinking lately and realized something. It kinda freaks me out but I think I love you and I wouldn't be able to handle it if something happened to you," Tetchou whispered, his stare turning intense as he looked at me. Realization washed over me, my hand freezing up as his soft hair fell away from my fingers. He didn't hesitate with his declaration and yet it made everything make sense. Ever since I realized that fact myself about him, I had also became a bit fearful for a time.
"I love you too," I whispered back in a daze. Tetchou smiled at me before pulling me in for a kiss. He was just as eager as I was as I pulled him in tighter against me, his chest pushing on mine to where I could feel his frantic heartbeat. I hummed against his lips in approval, tilting my head as Tetchou shivered pleasantly in my arms.
It didn't take long for me to roll onto him, his hands finding my shoulders as my fingers dug into his scalp gently in a desperate need to feel him closer. My tongue traced along his lower lip needily, my desire dripping with each pull of Tetchou's arms to bring me in closer. When he suddenly pulled away panting, I couldn't help the disappointed groan that escaped my lips.
"Look who's clingy now," Tetchou smirked under me, a soft blush dusting across the bridge of his nose and his cheeks. I chuckled darkly, my hands leaving his hair to sneak down to his waist where I lifted his hips to meet mine. He instantly shut his mouth, eyes widening as I smirked back.
"We'll see who's clingy in about ten minutes."
