“Who’s closing tonight?” I asked scrolling through Tik Tok
“Malcolm” Tageo answered immediately
“You know we're supposed to take turns right?” Malcolm reminded us as he cleaned the coffee machines
“Take it up to our manager” I joked and locked the cash resigur
“Hey, is Mateo okay?” Malcolm asked me
“Yeah why?” I asked confused
“Didn’t see much of him today” Malcolm shrugged
“He was just busy” I said trying to sound as nonchalant about it as possible
I didn’t want to show that I noticed he didn’t come by during his usual times; Typically he comes here like clockwork but I only saw him once.
I really wanted to text him to see if he was okay but I didn;t want to come off like I was being clingy; no one wants to be with someone who expects them to keep them updated on every single thing they do.
We finished cleaning and Malcolm locked up and we headed home, when we got there we saw Jenni and Francis' car in the driveway telling us they were home.
We walked inside and I went to my room and started picking up all the trash and went downstairs and grabbed a bottle of bleach, rags, and a pair of rubber gloves and started deep cleaning my room.
Washed my sheets and covers and spreaded fabric softener on my mattress. While I was cleaning I didn’t notice Francis standing against my door frame so when I turned and saw him I jumped shocked to see him.
“You scared me” I said catching my breath
“Lots of cleaning expecting someone?” Francis smirked
“Just hanging out with Mateo tomorrow” I coughed
“Okay well remember to use protection while watching your movie” He winked and walked away
My throat felt so dry and I continued cleaning and finished up; I made my bed and laid down feeling exhausted from all that moving around.
My phone buzzed and I saw it was Mateo
Mateo: Hey sorry I didn’t see you much today
Me: No prob babe it’s all good
Mateo: What time are we meeting up at your house
Me: 5 I’ll be off work by then
Mateo: Okay great see you then
After I went into the closet and dumped out the condom and lube I bought and placed them in the bottom of my nightstand for easy access for later.
“Okay great think I have everything” I sighed and laid back on the bed
