Zhongli spent the past day starring out the window blankly. He had no desire to move from the nest that was losing the scent of his mate. No one was allowed to enter the room not until they had found Ajax. Ganyu went to Mondstat that morning to look for Ajax. Xiao stayed in Liyue watching the ports for any sign of Ajax.
"My dove please I beg of you return home to me." He mumbled.

Ajax flipped the dough while the kitchen smelt of cinnamon and fruit. "This is probably my favorite thing to make!" Ajax spoke happily. "And it doesn't have sea food in it. My alpha really doesn't like sea food." He said sprinkling the sugar cinnamon mixture on the dough.
"You've mastered all the recipes. I'm pretty sure my husband gained weight eating all your pastries." She laughed. Ajax laughed with her. "No matter how much I feed my alpha he works off the weight though the thought of my alpha with a food belly makes me laugh." He jokes.
Ajax hums while he flips the dough back over. "Almost nice and crispy just needs a few minutes." He said putting down the spatula. Ajax sighed and looked at the pile of pastries he made. "I guess I do cook to distract myself from missing my mate." He said with a low sigh.
Mary laughed and patted his shoulder. "Yeah, its fine! We can take some down the road to my sons and their families. My daughter in law just had her third child I'm sure she'd love a little snack!" She admitted. Ajax nodded happily. "Yeah!" He beamed.

Ajax held the plate of pastries tightly before following Mary Liu down the road to her sons house. "Mother!" A man called. Another man across the road opened his door and rushed out. "Mother!" He called too. Ajax stood there happily watching these grown men cling to their mother like they were toddlers.
"Ajax made some pastries! Have some!" She said happily. Ajax offered some of the pastries he made. "Woah you made alot. Can the kids and wife have some too?" He asked. Ajax nodded. "Go ahead there's more at home for us so don't worry about us not eating." He spoke happily. The man looked at him and chuckled. "Make sure you have enough for the little one in there." He said looking at the omegas belly. Ajax placed a loving hand on his belly. "Im not showing yet but my mate will be so happy when he finds out I doubt he'll let me leave our room. But soon I doubt I'll be able too." He joked. "I'm Hajime this is my twin brother Lee." He introduced. Ajax smiled and waved. "Kids come get some food!" Lee said. Ajax heard little pitter patters before seeing four kids come out from one if the houses. Ajax knelt down making it easier for the children to grab some of the pastries off the plate. "Thank you so much sir!" A little girl spoke softly."No problem! Tell me how you like them! I'm practicing." He said with a smile. The little girl nodded before talking a bite. "The dough is nice and crispy but soft too. The fruit sauce could use more sugar!" She spoke. Ajax made a mental note. "Thank you! I'll add more sugar next time." He said kissing the little girl on the cheek. Ajax looked up as he saw a woman who was clearly in pain. "Oh no sit! I can come to you!" Ajax said hurrying towards lady.
"Please sit you're clearly in pain. He said pulling the rocking chair that was on the porch closer to the lady. She sat down and felt relief. "Thank you!" She spoke relieved. He offered her some of the pastries. Which she happily took taking a bite out if it. "Tastes heavily. Thank you so much young man." She spoke happily.
"Would you like some too he asked the other lady now standing by her husband. He hurried off towards her. "Here have some there's plenty!" He offered. She took two smiling. "These look great!" She took a bite out of them. "They taste great too! I bet you spoil your alpha huh?" She teased. Ajax laughed. "Yeah he's definitely going to be spoiled when I go home." He admitted. "He's getting two surprises. One is my delicious desserts the other will be our baby." He spoke lovingly. The lady smiled. "I'm Leah. That little girl over there is ours. Along with that little boy sitting in the tree. Shino! Get out of that tree you know better!" She yelled. The boy pouted and finished eating the pastry.

When Ajax and Mary returned back to the house. Hajime sat at the table the pastries sat on the counter untouched. "Hajime what's wrong?" Mary asked. Hajime looked up at Ajax ignoring his wife. "I work with omegas sometimes and I told them about Ajax. He's providing for us because his alpha is absent." Hajime spoke softly. Mary huffed. "Who's fault is that?" She asked. "Of course he's going to try and provide and support more dominant people that's his nature! Did those omega coworkers tell you that Ajax could die if he goes into depression because of his alpha being temporary absent. You take his back in two days. Believe me he's counting down every hour, minute, second, until he can go home." She admitted. "So let him do what he needs too." She said grabbing the pastries from the counter. "Eat them." She stated. Hajime sighed and took a few before taking a bite out of the pastry. "WOW! you've outdone yourself Ajax!" He spoke happily. Ajax smiled as tears rolled down his face.
Hajime set the pastry down. He stood up and brought Ajax into a hug. "Hush now. Two days. You'll be dropped off first. You'll be reunited with your alpha soon for now you got to take care of your baby." He whispered into his ear. "Can you take care of your baby?" He asked. Ajax nodded happily. "Thank you Mr. Hajime." He spoke happily. Hajime kept the boy in a hug when he felt him purr." He rubbed his back. "Everything is going to be okay."
