Overhaul stood by the boss's bed, a constant beeping coming from the machine a few inches from the bed. He looked down at the person who had taken him in all those years ago, the person who didn't want to accept his help even though it would bring the Shie Hassaikai back to the top of the underworld. "Sorry pops," He muttered. "Things are about to get noisy."
With that out in the air, the young head turned and exited the room. "Mordred, come with me," He directed, having left the villain by the door. Devoid of sound, Mordred fell in step with the yakuza leader as they went further and further underground. It was about 8:30am in the morning a few days after the league members had joined up. As they walked, the two were soon joined by Chrono once they were closer to their destination.
"I can hear it faintly," He murmured, pausing to look up at the junction of the ceiling and the wall. "The sound of a large number of people running in the same direction, which means they already know where they want to go. They probably already know where this place is, too."
"It happened sooner than I thought it would," Overhaul grumbled, not having stopped or slowing down to allow his subordinate to catch back up. "We cannot be found right now. They acted violently on their own, let's make that the story. That's what those pieces were groomed for."
"The eight bullets of the Hassai group," Chrono confirmed.
"While they're buying time for us," He said. "We'll take Eri and everything with her and hide her away completely."
Having Chrono take and carry her in his arms, Overhaul began moving again in the direction of an exit to make good on his plan to disappear. Suddenly, there were several rumbling sounds, making him tut. "It's so noisy. Are those guys really doing their jobs?"
"I don't want to say it," Chrono murmured as he walked behind his leader. "But it's over for the Hassaikai."
"As long as the boss and I are here, the Hassaikai won't die," The young head said in reply. "Most of the underlings follow him and don't understand my way of thinking, even though I'm the one who respects the boss' will the most. As long as we have this finished product and the serum," He held up two containers, one red and one blue. "We can bloom again. This incident will also become a good story for the fanatics," He tucked the containers back in his pocket. "A drug heroes are afriad of.. It sounds like something they'd like. They'd finance it happily. And so," His expression hardened as they passed Toga and Twice. "Work a little, temps."
"Hai~" Toga breathed, grinning as Twice inclined his head.
"Leave it to us, Overhaul."
"Take care of Mordred for us~" Toga sang as she skipped away.
"No need to worry, as long as he's with me, he won't have to do a thing," Overhaul mused, continuing onward with his subordinate at his back and Mordred by his side. A while later, something unexpected happened.
"Excuse me gentlemen, but we need to talk," The hero known as Lemillion stood several feet away from the three villains, panting from how far and fast he had run to catch up with them "You've got some explaining to do. Why don't we have a chat about Eri?"
"...You shouldn't have been able to get here so fast," Overhaul narrowed his eyes as he shifted to look at the unexpected guest.
"I took a shortcut," Was all the hero supplied in response to the implicit question. "Give me the girl, I'm here to rescue her."
"Now that you know the situation, you've decided to play hero, ay school boy? You were happy being ignorant when we first met. Unfortunately for you, this girl didn't wanna come with you," He put a hand in his pocket. "You're no hero to her."
"That's why I'm here," Lemillion didn't back down, his expression hardening with determination as he readied himself for the fight they all knew was inevitable.
"I'm not getting through to you," The young head sighed heavily, then he turned around to continue forward. "Allow me to be clearer: you're going to die down here."
Nemoto and another yakuza member arrived and kept Lemillion at bay as Overhaul, Chrono and Mordred made their way forward with Eri. Sadly for the yakuza, the distraction only lasted a minute or so before Lemillion had beaten the two and made his way to the three big shots. "CHISAKI!" He yelled, swinging his fist at him, but the young head dodged. A single, shallow cut remained.
Then the hero sent Chrono flying and a second later caught Eri. "P-Please don't!" She cried once she was in his arms. "Go back! Leave me!" She pleaded. "Otherwise he'll kill you!"
"I'm never going to let you down again, Eri," Lemillion promised as he glared at the young leader. "I swear it. I am going to be your hero!"
"Filthy," Overhaul growled. His skin was already breaking out from the contact, he felt disgusted. "Come back Eri," He demanded. "How many times do I have to tell you? It's your fault. You break people. That's just how you were born."
"Go, hurry!" Eri tried to push the hero away, but he held firm.
"Don't listen to him."
"You know how this goes," Overhaul said, his tone suggesting his annoyance for having to repeat this process for the upteenth time. "I always have to get my hands dirty because of your selfishness. Every action you take results in people dying: you're a cursed human."
"HOW COULD YOU EVER SAY THAT TO YOUR OWN DAUGHTER?!" Lemillion exploded, absolutely livid with how this kind, innocent little girl was being treated.
"Huh?" Overhaul crouched down into a squat. "Oh right, that's the story I told you," He glared right back at him as he revealed that one of his gloves was no longer on his hand. "I don't have any children."
