"SHIT, WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU KOSUKE!?" Bakugo demanded as he blasted through the air, his head darting around to look between streets to see if he could find any traces when suddenly several guys flew at him, causing him to hiss and dodge. "What the hell!?" He went higher, eyebrows furrowing as he saw Twice with a bunch of mud twitching and forming behind him. 

"Out of the way you fakes. I would never kill a comrade," Twice growled as the mud took shape and produced a bunch of more Twices. "You will fear me. Liberation army, I'll show you the extent of my quirk."

"HEY YOU, HAVE YOU SEEN KOSUKE?!" Bakugo yelled down at him as he kept himself in the air, causing the bleeding person to look up with wide eyes. 

"Wha--Uh, no, I haven't! But don't worry, my doubles will help look!"

"GOOD, NOW GET BLOOD GIRL AND GET OFF THE BATTLEFIELD, YOU BOTH LOOK LIKE SHIT!" the explosive blonde shouted as he flew away, causing Twice to blink at him before nodding in conviction. 

"Right!"

"HOW HARD IS IT TO FIND ONE GODDAMN PERSON?!" 

Meanwhile, Todoroki had finished off several people with his blade of fire and had circled back to help his brother, who was having a bit of a difficult time dealing with the ice wielder, which had just busted out a bunch of pipes. 

"What, is there some kind of ice factory around here?" Dabi grumbled, then glanced at his wrist as a splat of water hardened into ice. 

"There's more to my ability than simple manipulation," The person said. 

"Haaa, is that so," The patchwork villain sighed. 

"I can control the temperature of the molecules too. So if I call out to the water in the pipes and lower the temp, it freezes and becomes my weapon."

"You coulda told me that from the beginning," Dabi sneered with a flash of his quirk. "Now I'm angry. Shoto, help me out here."

"Anything you need," The younger of the two agreed instantly. 

"And the future we're aiming for, the strength of someone's power will be directly linked to their place in society," the ice wielder said. "In other words, increasing your meta ability will be essential!"

"This is why I cannot stand this world," Todoroki's fire was stoked and flared as he glared at the person spouting ideology that should never be enacted as ice flew into the air from pipes all over the city. 

"There is no value to life other than the strength you wield."

"That's a pretty depressing world view," Dabi muttered, glancing at his brother briefly. He still seemed pretty pissed about the whole philosophy their enemy had. "Relax Shoto."

"No, he sounds worse than dad!" The dual-wielder growled. "I've never wanted to put someone in the ground more."

"Ha," Dabi grinned at that statement. If only this were his real brother. "Hear that?" He glanced at their opponent. "You're gonna die."

"You are the one that will perish, blue flame user," The ice wielder said. "Your body already smells burnt. Determining your opponent's meta power is the most basic of tactics. Your scorched skin looks like it's about to fall off. You won't be able to fight for long, will you? Because your flames are consuming your own body."

"Shut up," Todoroki snarled as his flames grew hotter and bigger. Dabi smirked at the sight, nodding to himself before summoning his own flames. True, using them did mean more pain, but he was always in pain, so a bit more was no big deal, especially after having been this way for so long. 

Meanwhile, the doctor and All For One were listening in on the fights. "This hardly seems fair," The doctor chuckled. 

"Indeed," All For One hummed, perching his head on one hand while the other had a device placed in it. Bringing it to his mouth, he spoke: "Machia."

"That did the trick," the doctor chuckled as he heard the resulting reaction from the walking mountain.

"Now I'm sure they can hold out. Besides," All For One mused as he handed the device back to his doctor. "Mordred is doing all of the work."

"He really is!" The two laughed together, paying extra attention to the sounds coming from one of the coms. It was Mordred's line, and he was outside of the city on the hilltop where the league had first arrived. There, he was finishing off his 237th kill while the shadowlings were finishing up the last of those that had followed him out of the city.

The boy was panting as he sheathed his blade, looked around quickly, drew up a passing bird's shadow and manipulated it so it was big enough to ride. The shadowlings disappeared as Mordred flew off, which was right as Bakugo had found them. "SERIOUSLY?!" The blonde demanded. It was only by luck that he had caught a glimpse of a fight on the hill, so he had come to check it out. 

But it was by pure skill that he managed to change directions mid air and follow the shadow bird and it's master moving straight towards the city. It was right then that the tower in the middle of Deika crumbled, but the blonde stubbornly kept his eyes on the shadow so he wouldn't lose him again. 

Seeing a hand come and take his husband from right in front of him had been the worst thing to ever happen to him. His family and entire village being destroyed was a very close second, and those few days that he hadn't had Kosuke by his side had made both losses that much worse. Kirishima and Kaminari had practically been walking on eggshells around him, that is until Todoroki had grabbed him by the collar and dragged him into the forest. 

There, he had revealed the mist guy that had stood next to the demon king's successor during the battle, apparently having caught him. Todoroki had then explained the situation to Bakugo, that he and the mist guy had come to an agreement that if he helped him and Bakugo find their friend, the captive would be free to go. 

That's why there hadn't been much of a plan on how to get back, because it was a frantic and very impulsive decision. Their minds had been too clouded by their grief, their desperation, and that slimmer of hope that Kosuke would be okay and would come back to them. Neither of them had questioned it as the warp gate opened, and they had stepped through into a whole new world.
