"Go beyond, plus ultra? I prefer go confusion plus chaos," Toga commented, her Deku disguise melting as she sat with Twice and Compress.
"Clothe yourself before you give this old man a heart attack," The entertainer sounded disapproving as he spoke, then turned his attention to Twice. "You made a duplicate of me so that I could extract you?"
"That's right!" Twice pointed at him, Toga's bandanna around the torn part of his mask. "That's step one of the plan: I make a copy of Compress. Step two, using Compress's quirk, we tunnel through the ground and escape to the surface. Step three, Toga disguises herself and notifies the heroes. So far so good, I'd say," He surmised. "But now comes the best part because this is the first time the yakuza have let us near the kid their whole plan depends on."
"Their secret weapon's a kid?" Compress sounded like he was deadpanning.
"Sure is," The villain confirmed. "If it was just us, you'd need to get down there and grab her, but thankfully Kosuke is down there since he was ordered to shadow Eri and make sure she doesn't leave the building~"
"Right, it's about time we switched up those orders," Toga hummed, pressing the device in her ear as a wide smile crossed her face. "Ko, bring Eri up to the street and meet up with us."
Meanwhile, down in the area that had been demolished thanks to the heroes, Mordred rose from his shadow, which he had place right behind Eri so that no one was the wiser about his presence. Scooping the girl up, she gasped and instinctively clutched onto the red cloth that was around the villain's shoulders.
"YES, YES, GOOD JOB MORDRED," Overhaul said, using his quirk to rearrange the flooring so the heroes wouldn't have good footing while at the same time continuing to bring up new spikes and spears so the heroes wouldn't have any time to rest. "BRING HER TO ME!" He yelled, shooting him into the air towards where he was.
"SHE'S COMING THIS US!" Deku shot towards the villain in the air. Overhaul instantly brought up more spears to stop the hero, which made his reaction slow down as the person he had pulled out of a coma sprouted dark wings, gliding to the hole in the ceiling, and disappearing into the light of the sun.
"MORDREEEEDDDD!" Overhaul seethed. Had he gotten some of his senses back? Where was he going? What had happened to the strict orders he had given him, that Shigaraki himself had practically guaranteed to not be disobeyed? There was only one explanation he could think of, making him grit his teeth. Oh, he would wreck the league of villains for this betrayal.
"Well done Ko~" Toga clung to Mordred once he was within reach. Nodding once, he put Eri down, only for the double of Compress to make her into a marble.
"Perfect, then our job is done here," He confirmed, stuffing the object into his pocket. "Shall we be going then?"
"Take us home, Mordred," Twice gave the guy a thumbs up, so with another nod in return, Mordred sunk them all into their own shadows, then went into his, and moved them all to the warehouse that Shigaraki had designated as the meet-up point.
Once they were there, Toga got out her phone and dialed the actual Compress to inform him of how things had gone. Twice had a bit of a breakdown, but Mordred and Compress were a bit busy taking care of their newest kidnapee.
Eri sat on one of the crates, trembling as she tried not to cry. She didn't know where she was, or who these people were. The last thing she remembered was being taken up to the street, and then she was suddenly sitting on a hard and sort of scratchy surface while being faced with a person with a sad mask and a person wearing a red hood. The red hood reminded her of Lemillion, making her urge to cry even greater.
Compress sighed, glancing to his side at the other villain. It would be really handy right now if he were his old self, he thought to himself with a frown. How easily Kosuke would have been able to win this girl over..
Meanwhile, Shigaraki had just kicked the contraption Overhaul was strapped to. "Tell me again who the next leader is gonna be," He taunted, his hands in his pockets. The scene on the highway was quite the view with an overturned police car, something flaming in the distance, and the villain ambulance on its side.
"...Did you come to kill me?" Overhaul asked, looking at the sky with lifeless eyes filled with defeat.
"No," Shigaraki scoffed. "You did us a solid, bringing Mordred out from a coma, so I think I'll let you keep your life. However," He sneered. "I can't stand to think that your disgusting hands touched one of my members, so I think I'll just have to get rid of them."
"Well, before that," Shigaraki brought out the red case. "Two little boxes, which one holds the finished product?" He asked as he opened it, observing the red amunition. "I'll just take both."
"That's mine," Overhaul glared at him, as if willing the villain leader to give the box back and free him.
"Ha, you know what I think, Overhaul?" Shigaraki hummed. "Someone so obsessed with erasing quirks shouldn't have one of their own," He said, and not a moment later, Kurogiri appeared along with a special someone, making Overhaul's eyes widen.
"It's such a shame things turned out this way," All For One frowned as he stood in front of the yakuza. "However, I do have to thank you for giving Tomura Shigaraki a chance to grow as a stategist. Thanks to him, I will be able to recover nicely with this new quirk at my disposal," He smiled, putting his hand on Overhaul's face.
Overhaul could feel the power being sucked from him, making him quiver in fear, in powerlessness. Shigaraki watched, a smirk pulling at his lips. "Thank you very much," All For One took his hand off of Overhaul, flexing it.
"I'll take it from here, Master," Shigaraki said, then glanced at the warp gate. "Kurogiri, take Master back to the doctor."
"As you wish, Tomura Shigaraki," Kurogiri agreed, and All For One smiled.
"Very well, I look forward to seeing what you do next," He patted his prodigy on the shoulder. "After all, everything is for you." With that said, he walked into the warp and disappeared.
"Now, where were we? Ah, yes," the league of villains' leader put both of his hands on both of the defeated yakuza's arms, watching as they cracked and crumbled under his touch. He saw the man panic, which brought him a great sense of satisfaction. "If we don't cut that off, your whole body will turn to dust," Shigaraki said, flashing a knife and slicing down.
"And just like that, you're helpless! A weak, quirkless loser," The league of villains' leader grinned. "And all the fruits of your labor belong to me, now you don't even have a thumb to suck on!" He laughed. "You're doomed to watch from the sidelines as your dream fall apart. Let's do our best~"
Suddenly, the van's horn was blarred, causing Shigaraki's mood to dampen as he glanced towards it. "Backup's coming, we gotta go!" Spinner yelled his warning.
"Next," Shigaraki spoke as he, Dabi and Compress made their way back to the van where Spinner was waiting impatiently. "It's our turn."
As they left, a pained cry ripped from Overhaul's throat, and Shigaraki once again felt supremely satisfied. Now all that was left was the core of Overhaul's plan, and lastly, to get Kosuke out of his nomu-like state once and for all.
