"Grandpa?"

"Yes little one?"

"You said that I had a daddy."

"Yes."

"Do I have a mommy? Or another daddy?"

"No."

"Why?"

"Because your father was the only one who found your Rebirth Nexus."

She already knows this. She knew it the moment the crystals of the Nexus formed her.

"Where is he now?"

"You know where he is."

She does. She saw them kill her father.

"I want to see him again."

"Maybe one day little gem.

"Maybe one day."

------------------------------------------------

Fire and flames raged across the village, as black figures with poison red and corrupted purple cores came and torched everything.

They were looking for something.

They were looking for her.

-------------------------------------------------

"EVERYONE! GET TO THE RIVER!"

-------------------------------------------------

"GO!"

"NO, I WON'T LEAVE WITHOUT YOU!" she screamed.

She begged.

She doesn't want to loose her only family in this World.

She refuses to let anyone die for her again.

"Dia, listen to me."

She fell silent, she listened over the roars of fire, screams of fear, and the destruction of Glacierford.

Her grandfather gave her something glowing softly.

Flickering, as if it was a heartbeat.

As if it was a heart itself

The Nether Star.

A piece of her Nexus.

A small spark in her finally caught fire.

"Grandpa..."

"No matter what, you will be okay. Our family is big, try to find them in that World."

"I don't want to leave you..."

"I know little gem." and he pulled her into a hug.

She relaxed when he called her that.

"Love you grandpa."

He pulled away...

"I love you too, little one."

And shoved her, over the edge of the cliff, and into a portal.

"NO, GRANDPA!" the young girl screamed as they came behind him. He didn't even had time to pull out his sword before they plunged another sword into him.

And the portal closed, leaving a little girl desperately trying to hold back her sobs.

She didn't notice the hours passing by.

Nor the sun setting.

Nor that she backed her self to a cave.

Or the black markings on her arms forming.

But she did notice a soft light blue glow coming towards her.

And a small voice from the Nether Star.

'Kin.'

'Family.'

Her grandpa did tell her to find her family...

Might as well start now.
