They slept quietly after dinner, no more conversations were made. Tejasswi didn't ask any questions, though Karan wanted to talk but this time he was scared of her silence.
Next morning----------
"Mummy aisa nahi hai!" Tejasswi woke up with a phone call from her mother.
"Par tu waha thi kyunki tum dono ek dusre ko samajhna aur jan na chahte the.. 'holi sath manayenge' boli thi tu." Her mother said.
"Mummy uske friend ke Papa ki tabiyat kharab ho gayi thi, wo bechara pure din waha pareshan ho raha tha... Kya Holi...." Tejasswi told.
"Toh fir yeh jo Richa keh rahi thi kal Holi gathering me? Ke woh toh apni co- star ke sath tha.. dono ke pictures bhi kitne viral hue hai colours lagate hue... Humne socha tu bhi hogi sath, lekin nahi dikhi ek bhi picture me. Suneeta ji bhi itni pareshan hui kal. Keh rahi thi Karan se baat karenge..." He mother said.
"Aap ne unko kyun involve kar liya yaar!!! Mujhse baat karte na pehle.. kya yaar mummy..." Tejasswi didn't like the idea of their parents getting worried.
"Meine nahi involve kia hai, hum dono baat kar rahe tab Richa ne aa kar kaha 'aunty congratulations Karan bhaiya bohot cute lagte hai Yogi ke sath ab jaldi se shadi kar le dono bas..' aur bhi keh rahi thi kuch unko kya plane.. boat.... nahi ship karti hai sath me. Meine Suneeta ji ko kuch nahi kaha lekin woh to embarrass ho gayi na kehne lagi bacche Aaj kal kuch bhi kehte hai.. mein Sunny se baat karungi..." Her mother explained.
"Aisa kuch nahi hai mummy.. purani photo hogi koi aap log bhi na.. aunty ko bolo pareshan nahi ho... Wo hospital se sidha ghar gaya tha.. fir humne dinner bhi sath hi kiya.." Tejasswi told her mother.
"Beta hume dar lagta hai.. tu bataye ya nahi lekin pichli baar jo hua.. tu kafi dino tak pareshan thi... Karan accha ladka hai, lekin yeh sab baatein baar baar sun kar dar lagta hai tere liye. Hum ma baap hai beta..." Her mother said in a sad tone.
"Mummy... Kuch nahi hoga pichli baar jaisa.. daro mat.. sab accha hai... Thik hai.. ab mein rakhti hu mujhe kaam hai.." she disconnected the phone. She wasn't sure if she was convincing her mother or herself about whatever happened yesterday. But she needed some lonely time. So she decided to go home, when she turned back she saw Karan standing at the door of his room.
"Shit!! You scared me!" Tejasswi said.
"You were lost somewhere.. kisi se baat kar rahi thi." Karan didn't hear the conversation, but know she was restless.
"Kuch nahi.. office...." She lied.
"Teju.. sun na..." Karan wanted to explain but Tejasswi cut him off
"Karan mein Ghar jaungi.. kuch kam hai office ka.. mere documents ghar par hai.. wo aaj scan vagera karna hai and... Meine cab book kar liya hai don't worry." She said picking her stuff up.
"You said hum sath rahenge.... Aaj toh off hai Teju!!" Karan said.
"I know.. lunch ke baad milte hai na.. mera kaam bhi ho jayega, shayad." She said unsure about everything." You too finish your work kuch ad shoot hai na.."
"Mein drop kar dunga." Karan said.
"Don't waste your time... Abhi breakfast kar ke start with your shoot toh time par you will be free." She said and left.
Karan stood there not understanding if she was angry or he was overthinking. He went to hi balcony to see if her cab has arrived, but he saw her sitting in white SUV which was surely not cab.

"Hey stranger!" Someone said to Tejasswi while she was already irritated because 3 cab drivers had cancelled her ride.
"Are you stalking me Kushal sir?" Tejasswi said smiling.
"Sir mat bolo! Maths teacher ki yaad aa jati hai mere and I hated him. Aur jaha tak stalking ki baat hai may be.. I am stalking you. Waiting for the cab?" Kushal asked.
"Yeah!! Aur 3 cab walo ne thukra diya hai!" Tejasswi said dramatically. She was trying her best to hide the turmoil going on in her mind. "You live here kya?"
"Nahi!! Par pass hi rehta hu. Let me drop you. Kabhi kabhi Mumbai me cab Wale dil tod dete hai." Kushal offered. "Don't worry mein accha insaan hu." He said when Tejasswi didn't answer.
"Okay! But I hope aapko bohot jyada problem na ho.." she said.
"Koi nahi.. drive ho jaayegi." Kushal smiled.
When they reach Tejasswi's home kushal open the door for her.
"Hey Tejasswi! Listen I know it sounds really not correct but I really like you... I mean just like a person. I just couldn't forget about you after we met for the first time. I would really like to be friends with you, just friends... Koi aur intentions nahi hai... Atleast abhi toh" he smiled. "I know we hardly know each other lekin dosti aise hi toh hoti hai na..."
"Kushal... We can be friends! And that's so sweet of you. But...." She wanted to tell him about Karan but kushal cut her off.
"..... You have a boyfriend. I understand, but all I am asking for is a friend. You know it's good to have friend who are different..." He tried to explain.
"Yes! So maybe... I can share my number and you can call me if you really need a friend." She said, trying to reduce the awkwardness.
Tejasswi was feeling really nice to find a new friend, this was really needed after what happened or not between Karan and her.
When she reached her home she went straight to her bedroom and took out all the pictures and threw them on her bed kept the packets of color she brought for their Holi and took a picture and wrote
Happy holi baby!! I really wanted this Holi to be special but I guess... Maybe I expect too much.. it's not your fault. I will be fine. Maybe next year....
